At the start of Next Wave by Bob Sorge, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The book opens with the history of worship, and I found myself wondering where it was headed. But as I continued reading, the message of the Holy Spirit began to unfold, and I was deeply moved by the courage Bob took in addressing such a sensitive yet vital topic. The reminder that our hearts’ deepest desire should always be centered on God, not on trends or outward appearances, is powerful. It’s about pursuing the Holy Spirit and finding new ways to give glory and praise to the Lord, focusing on Him—not just on what He’s done for us.

I have something to give

For a long time I have allowed shame about my past hold me back from leading, serving or doing life with other men. This book allows me to articulate who I am, what my anointing is, what my call is and how to steward it well. It’s amazing where your freedom or the keys to your freedom could be placed, it’s strategic. My buying this book was not intentional, it was part of my class work and thank you Jesus I chose to take this class.

Exciting adventure

When my wife told me we were pregnant I was the happiest I have ever been, we were going to have a baby! She has given so much of her adult life to full time mission work serving vulnerable/at risk pregnant teenagers in Africa Kenya, now she was going to carry and care for her own child.
Few weeks down the line it dawned on me that her life, lifestyle and entire future was going to change dramatically, morning sickness, distaste for her normally exciting things, foods activities you name it. That was when I started researching on how and when I can be part of this journey with her. Earlier in 2018 I had acquired a paralegal for dummies that was the most valuable purchase I had ever made, hopping to finding one I went online and found Dad’s Guide to Pregnancy and sure enough I have loved every page and sections of it. Sure the journey won’t stop here for me but I feel confident in our conversation about what my wife is experiencing and what is soon to come.
Every man who desires to be a dad one day should take up the challenge and get to know more about your wife, yourself and your soon to come bundle of joy.
