I really liked the story. It was the female narrator that I did not like. The male narrator was fantastic. Great story if you can get passed the female narrator

Gives You What You Want AND Begging For More

My Lord!! This book is absolutely delicious. This is the second installment in a serial series, The Rothvale Legacy. You really need to read the first book, Priceless, to understand what is happening.
For me, this book was a fine wine. Aged to enhance the overall value. The story held my attention and I was able to complete in one sitting.
The narrator's are absolutely sinful! The performances of both are perfect. The character are splendidly portrayed. Shane East is every girl's British fantasy!! Harper Jean Wilson is brilliant in her portrayal.
My only concern about this book, as a whole, is that it feels like chapters of a book, not a book in itself. Meaning, Priceless and My Lord could very easily be put together along with the next installment for one complete story. The breaks between books is a bit much. I need the conclusion. I typically don't read cliffhangers, which I am not sure if you can categorize this as one, but I really want the end of the story.
Overall, I love the story. The writing is fantastic. I very much look forward to the next installment.

She does it again...in novella form

LJ Shen is my favorite author. I follow all her fan pages, read everything she has ever wrote. Her books got me through my cancer recovery. She has range. She has depth. She has a keen sense of humor. And she knows how to connect with my soul.
As an avid reader/listener, for the last two months I have been down a deep angst trail 13 books deep with another author. I needed a break. So, I started perusing the Discover section and WHAT...a brand new LJ Shen novella.
I had ZERO knowledge of this release. I help spread the love on ALL her releases. I was so confused. I told you she reads my soul. At the very moment I needed a change if pace, she drops this kinda but not quite angsty love story that is like brunch, a lil of this and a lil of that. This story will peak and satisfy your romance appetite without stuffing you so full you can't move. It is perfection

Worth the Wait ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We have been anticipating the story of Alex and Violet Waters only daughter and wow this did not disappoint. A great love story. The angst was good. Not as angsty as I thought it would be but perfect for this story. The epilogue was a bit of a head scratcher. It didn't really foretell too much or elude to the next book of the series. It actually confused a bit. Otherwise, this was a delightful journey, with some great steam in all the right places!! You can't help but to fall deeply for Lavendar and Kodiak, but most of us have been in love with them since they were born
