Nicely done by author and narrator!

The story was well done and although I figured out the twist about halfway through, it was still engaging and enjoyable. the narrator did a fine job but could still use some polish on the voice work. I look forward to the next installment!

Not terribly original and it closed up awfully quickly. I suspect the poor reviews for the first two books had the author and editors wanting to put this one to bed quickly and move on to other things. I believe that is for the best.

Started with a pretty worn out beginning narrative with a young peasant coming into great power after personal tragedy. Faceless and virtually nameless evil looms somewhere yonder and no one can just say what the hell they are thinking and feeling. It all adds up to a story we've all heard or read before. Reynolds is an incredible voice talent but is wasted on this one I think.
