Grandson Didn't Like -- He's the Audiance
Revisado: 04-14-18
Would you try another book from Charlie Higson and/or Gerard Doyle?
Probably not as my Grandson has failed to like this entire series.
Would you recommend Hurricane Gold to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes, but only because I liked the story line as far as I heard it (chapter 4).
How did the narrator detract from the book?
His voice changes were a bit irritating at times.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I did like it, but my Grandson is the audience and he can't put this into words. These are kids books and the child needs to like them.
Any additional comments?
Will move on to the next series that was recommended (Henderson's Boys) and hope they work. Sorry.

Grandson Didn't Like -- He's the Audiance
Revisado: 04-14-18
Would you try another book from Charlie Higson and/or Gerard Doyle?
I've tried all 5 in this series and my Grandson didn't take to any of them, so probably not.I liked the story, but my Grandson is the audience.
If you’ve listened to books by Charlie Higson before, how does this one compare?
Only this series...all the same...none interested my Grandson.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Gerald was a bit better than Nathaniel, but still a bit annoying when he changed voices...those need some work I think...at least for my Grandson. They were OK for me, but I'm not the audience.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment for my Grandson...he certainly was disappointed.
Any additional comments?
Got farther in this book than any of the others, but not sure why and my Grandson tired of it after the 4th chapter this time. I'll keep searching.

Grandson Didn't Like -- He's the Audiance
Revisado: 04-14-18
What would have made Blood Fever better?
I don't know...my Grandson lost interest in the middle of chapter 2.
Would you recommend Blood Fever to your friends? Why or why not?
To try, sure. I like the story, but I'm not the audience my Grandson is.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Nathaniel Parker?
I have no idea...Nathaniel did a great job with Stormbreaker, but this series seems to be done differently...more agitating.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
My Grandson couldn't put this into words. I liked the story line, but it wasn't for me.
Any additional comments?
I'm continuing to try books until I find a series my Grandson takes to like he did Stormbreaker.

Grandson Didn't Like -- He's the Audiance
Revisado: 04-14-18
Is there anything you would change about this book?
Narrator was pretty bad with his different voices. Grandson lost interest after1st chapter was over.
Given, I've been searching and searching for books he will listen too as he loves spy stuff, but he didn't like this...and he is the audience.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I actually liked the story line, but I'm not the audience.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Nathaniel Parker?
I don't know...Grandson liked Stormbreaker and Nathaniel did that one too, so I'm not sure where that leaves me. I liked Nathaniel in Stormbreaker too, but not this one.
Do you think SilverFin needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
I think most books in this genre need a series.
Any additional comments?
I'm sorry I'm so much trouble, but I'll keep trying until my Grandson is happy.
