This is a powerful meditation to bring forcefully before the mind the essential purpose of life, which is, to save our soul and avoid hell. The message is as timeless as eternity. By heeding its message, the sinner will be assured of an eternity of joy.

I listened to this twice in a row. It had a profound effect on me that other books don’t. I am hoping I can find another Catholic book that is this convicting.

Historia
Robert Kiyosaki - author of the #1 personal finance book of all time - has built a legacy around simplifying complex and often-confusing subjects like money and investing. He continues to challenge conventional wisdom and asks the questions that will help listeners sift through today's information overload to uncover ways to assess what's real... and what isn't. And use truth and facts as a foundation for taking control of their financial lives. In this new book, Robert fights what’s "fake" and helps listeners differentiate between what’s real...and what isn’t.

What the hell
Revisado: 09-18-19
Literally repeating every chapter including the introduction. I can’t believe it. The same quotes and same stories. He even says, “in this book I will teach you....” in four chapters. The only thing he teaches you is to buy gold, and he says a guru told him that if you buy gold you will make that much a month in cash. Wtf? Literally that’s it. Gold is always there and money Is no longer on the gold standard. Over and over. I was able to say out loud in harmony what he was saying I heard it so many times. I got a refund on this crap.

why doesn't audible have more of this? I have been waiting for this kind of direct path in audio format. Ramana Maharshi and Nisargadatta Maharaj are masters and all I have found...and by accident.. is this one book by one of maharajs deciples. this is a selection of his quote to be used in premeditation. Listen and absorb the words, it's purpose is to get you to go beyond thought for direct path to self realization of the true selfless self bliss love awareness, and to wake up from this dream.

Historia
This series represents an opportunity to participate in a one week retreat with Eckhart and so to go deeper into stillness – becoming one with who you are in the depth of your Being. A certain degree of spiritual maturity, however, is required of anyone wishing to participate fully in this retreat series. What is spiritual maturity? You know the meaning of presence, not as a concept, but as a living reality.

may possibly be his best work
Revisado: 11-21-16
this stands out so differently than his books due to the fact that it is recorded over a (I believe) 10 day retreat. He talks from the heart, meaning whatever comes out at that time for that audience. it is not prepared or read from a teleprompter. and he is able to answer many questions. it gets incredibly deep at chapter 7 and on. I'm so thankful for his words. I have had many experiences and found myself recently feeling disconnected to them and living more in remembrance of those experiences of connecting to the moment and this audio was able to help me understand the what and why's of that very quickly. so thankful.

I am so blown away by this story. I connect with him deeply for his desire to let go of anything that may prevent him him from knowing the truth of what he is. and this story is crazy. I am inspired and touched deeply. it is exactly the book I needed to hear after a lull in my practice.

Historia
The deceptively simple three-phase method presented here is a meditation practice that can be worked with for a lifetime. Larry Rosenberg looks to Zen, to Insight Meditation, and to the teachings of J. Krishnamurti to find three kinds of meditation that anyone can do and that complement each other in a wonderful way: (1) breath awareness, (2) breath as anchor, and (3) choiceless awareness. Having the three methods in one's repertoire gives one meditation resources for any life situation.

may be the best all around book for understanding
Revisado: 08-03-16
I have heard this book 3 times now. Larry is a wonderful author who is gentle, direct, and grounded. His insight is easily understandable. what I love about this book is that it is an all encompassing book for anyone who is searching for understanding the dharma. if you are interested in figuring out Buddhism, this is the first book I would recommend. the teacher is a Theravada based Buddhist, and this is a nice and simple door to get a basic taste of Therevada. understanding the difference between Therevada, Mahayana, and Vajrayana schools of Buddhism was something I was very confused about when I first started, and understanding meditation was never really clear because I was bouncing through different authors from different cultures. this is the clearest, most easy to understand directions for how to practice, and it always returns me to the ground of the present when I listen to it, as sometimes we get caught up in the idea of awakening in the future. So if you know nothing about Buddhism, or you are an advanced yogi, this is a must read period.
My only problem was the narrator has no idea what the Sanskrit or Pali words are. He pronounces vipassana like "Vip-in-as-sauna" it's just silly.
