Unfortunately, I have mixed feelings about this effort.
Mostly, I can’t digest Cordelia as a slayer. Not even in different reality, universe or whatever.

A few words.
Sometimes, I say that the main character in the book surely took a stupid pill.
The truth is, Emily didn't have such need. Stupidity was her natural state.
If you
have any doubts about it, I will remind you of the scene (or in this book's case, the chapter)
in which she takes a bubble bath AND a sleeping pill while everyone and everything dies
around her. And don't even get me started with the absurd packing or her biking... or the
randomness of her mostly useless supplies.
Still…I’ll give the next one a chance.

Waste of my time

I don’t know why I began this book!
I mean, I read / skipped a lot , the “prequel “...
I’m still listening while I write this but I won’t be finishing it!!
How are we supposed to believe that a girl/woman this stupid ,
could’ve been Valedictorian at Kindergarten, never mind Valedictorian at High School....
Sheeesh!
All those five stars ratings....?

That was a fun read.
First , I thought it will be a DNF , the MC was kind of a stupid jerk...
Well... color me surprised! I’m glad I gave it a chance .

I think the rating should be 3.5 or 3.75 ⭐️ ... maybe?
In any case, it is entreating and fun. I was hooked
till the end but I DID have trouble with some aspects of the plot.

Color me surprised. Three and a half ⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2⭐️

The story is cute and funny and maybe ultra sugary but not unexpected. I wanted that kind of read.
It started slow and kind of annoying but then, I just couldn’t stop till I finish it. Made me laugh out loud a few times. The writing was decent and even good, color me surprised.

Kind of disappointing. Why?...Well..

1)- One of the stupidest heroines ever..

2)- For example, the hero saying " the year of our Lord , thirteen O seven" WHAT?!?

However, I’m curious if the other books in the series are as full of mistakes as this one , or maybe the author got some help?

For that matter, the whole human race didn’t deserve to survive the first chapter..
