Historia
Tamsyn Muir’s Gideon the Ninth unveils a solar system of swordplay, cut-throat politics, and lesbian necromancers. Her characters leap out of the audio, as skillfully animated as arcane revenants. The result is a heart-pounding epic science fantasy. Brought up by unfriendly, ossifying nuns, ancient retainers, and countless skeletons, Gideon is ready to abandon a life of servitude and an afterlife as a reanimated corpse.

I hate you... bare with me now
Revisado: 04-02-23
I hate you so much because I'm currently crying as I have just finished this wonderful book!
the narration was captivating!
My Gideon! Oh, how I adore her, this tale was a puzzling, brash thrill ride that I didn't expect and never would have imagined! I enjoyed every freaking moment of this novel, even the end—as that is what has me crying now. Dammit you didn't have to string me along so hard and make me fall in love with this story and the characters so hard! Urgh!
Thank you! You've filled my quiet mornings and nights with your great novel and now... with a heavy heart, onto the next!

Next Saturday, in fact. Just before dinner. So the armies of Good and Evil are amassing, Atlantis is rising, frogs are falling, tempers are flaring. Everything appears to be going according to Divine Plan.

From start to finish it held my attention. Love it. The narration was good also, but at times I had to try to figure out if it were John or Sherlock speaking, otherwise it was a great listening experience.

The entries in this compulsively listenable book bridge past and present with topics like getting ghosted, handling haters, and why dog owners rule (sorry, cat people). Along the way you'll get a glimpse of Edith Wharton's sex life, dating rituals in Ancient Greece, catfishing in 500 BC, medieval flirting techniques, and squad goals from Catherine the Great.

This was the most awesome book I've ever listened to on this app. I laughed my ass off, cheered, and snickered and grinned like a fool while listening to this book, it was a thrill and the narrator, our lively Captain was phenomenal 🤣🤣❤❤
I recommend this as the best last night read, and for your crappy days to be bright. Thank you Captain.

Haha this was an awesome podcast story. I truly didn't think that it would have ended the way it did and I gotta give a round of applause to the cast of performers👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 that really gave this book life. Best Bri was my favorite person.
This was one of the best stories I've ever listen to props to the author, and I do recommend you all read this, but keep in mind not every book is for everybody, at first I didn't think this would be good and i didn't think I'd like it but I digress, it was stunning and funny and really well done. Listened to the remaining 5 chapters in one sitting

A whirlwind for the ages
Revisado: 07-27-20
The story started on a somber tone, but soon captured me within the world that was forming around me with the lively and wonderful narration from Frankie.
I enjoyed this story, even as it scared me, even as it made me look around my dark room and wonder if there were things there that I could not see. This tale took away my breath, my sleep, my heart and damn well made me scream and cry with each second if it unfolding. This book was an extraordinary experience, the writing was phenomenal, and narration was flawless and easy to follow along, and I could not for the life of me put this book down until the very end.
Amazing all around a five star rating was definitely in order, and I do not dish them out for fun. Mexican Gothic is a book that I think you should read if you like thriller, a tinge romance and mystery with your fantasy.
BE WARNED that many themes in this book will be somewhat traumatizing, and triggering to those who are weak-hearted and easily shaken, so please proceed with caution.

Stole my heart
Revisado: 07-13-20
This was one of the best stories that I have ever listened to. The perfomance was perfection, the action oh so life like, the scenes painted with speech, I was enthralled. I cried a few too many times as the story unraveled but those tears were not wasted.
This story grabbed me into it's world and did not let go until the last word. Amazing work done to all who were involved. Definitely read this if you are looking for a great short story with depth and heart and mystery and great writing.
