Narration took away from the story
Revisado: 05-20-23
Good story but the narrative portrayal of Darcy and Elizabeth was distracting. Even as there characters evolved, Darcy still sounded haughty and sexually desperate while Elizabeth sounded vapid and shallow. It didn’t mesh.

Historia
When Elizabeth Bennet first knew Mr. Darcy, she despised him and was sure he felt the same. Angered by his pride and reserve, influenced by the lies of the charming Mr. Wickham, she never troubled herself to believe he was anything other than the worst of men - until, one day, he unexpectedly proposed. Mr. Darcy's passionate avowal of love causes Elizabeth to reevaluate everything she thought she knew about him.

The best pride and prejudice variation
Revisado: 04-10-16
I usually do not write reviews so it has taken a particularly extraordinary book to have me write. I am the daughter of an English professor and grew up with Pride and Prejudice at the dinner table. I know that it is my favorite book and was my father's favorite book. I read it to him on the last day of his life as he lay in hospice ravaged by Alzheimer's. I have laughed at myself (as Elizabeth would do) when I've read these variations voraciously. But after reading this version I realize that I was looking for answers that I was not able to glean on my own. I thank Ms Ormiston for this lovely work.
