Very nasty child and a parent without a spine

I have listened to a few or MKA's books and usually find them light but entertaining. This child in this book made me crazy - what parent would put up with this? The attitude of this child was not believable for a 12yo maybe a 16yo could be this vile, but at 12, I don't think anyone has had enough time to develop this hateful a character.

That one man can so completely obliterate a whole family without anyone having a clue is another thing that is hard to believe. All round a fail for me. I do not usually write harsh reviews as I appreciate the hard work that goes into writing but this vile man and exhausting child made me want to head for the hills.

The narrator was great.

I do not like writing a bad review as generally I appreciate the amount of effort that goes into each work, but this is insulting shallow smut. The sex scenes are so over the top and made me cringe. I tried hard to stick with this listen but did not get very far. What a shame as I really thought it would be good.

Sex as filler

I usually subscribe to "if you can't say something nice, rather say nothing at all" but I have to say that I have never read a book with more sex scenes - so much so that it starting boring me very early on. Way too much!! Narrators were great but way too much foul language.

What the!?

I loved the first two books but this author is seriously just dragging a 2 book series into 5. And how many full-on sex scenes can one bear - really? We get it already and it feels like fillers and relying on the old and tired "sex sells" theory. Very disappointing!

Exact same story - different voice

I felt that a third book was forced by rehashing the same story. There was not even a new twist or anything to bring something new to the story. Loved the narrator and loved the first two books but dissapointed with this one.

It surely is impossible for one woman to be that stupid. I think this is an insult to any woman - let alone an intelligent woman to believe this dragged out tale of misery.

Very depressing story and too drawn out

I do not like writing a bad review about a narrator as they work very hard and whilst I normally love Caroline Lee's narration, I found the forced Italian pronunciation very annoying. I think it was overdone and very distracting.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book

My first book by this author and narrator and I just loved every minute of it. Thomas is by far my favourite character - although he struggles with his own hurt he manages to be both compassionate and dependable.
