I found this book funny, and good
Revisado: 12-10-23
I found this book funny, and yet I do have a wicked sense of humor, Other people may have not find this book funny. It also helped that naratore was great and helped making it funny. It was a good story, however it did seem a bit long towards the end. I do think it is worth a credit.

It has been the public's perception that Madoff investors were all extremely wealthy and all belonged to exclusive clubs. This perception has been reinforced by the media and the powers that be. The truth is, with very few exceptions, such as Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Picower and Stanley Chais, most were average, small time investors. This is their story.

Too Close to reality
Revisado: 09-25-21
This book puts a spotlight about our society . Our economy and lives evolve around money. We work hard and try to save as much money as possible. Then we take all our money that we saved and give to a financial group to invest. Then we hope and pray that it all goes well. So we can retire and leave something for the next generation. This book spotlights what happens when things go horribly wrong.
Lastly this spotlights how our society how we wants to blame the victims. NOT blame our government for NOT doing there jobs!! That our tax dollars pay them so well to do. Over A dozen years latter we have NOT changed yet. In the fact that we allow our government to be dysfunctional, incompetent, and disagreeable.

Historia
By all accounts, Thomas Gilbert Jr. led a charmed life. The son of a wealthy hedge fund manager and a financier, he grew up surrounded by a loving family and all the luxury an Upper East Side childhood could provide: education at the elite Buckley School and Deerfield Academy, summers in a sprawling seaside mansion in the Hamptons. He was strikingly handsome, moving with ease through glittering social circles and following in his father's footsteps to Princeton. But Tommy always felt different, and the cracks in his façade began to show.

It's Deppressing
Revisado: 09-13-21
I think the book is well written, it is just a very sad story. The Narrator did not enhance the book at all. I have listened to other books he has done and did an okay job. I think if they would have picked another narrator the book could have been better.

In 1959, Olathe, Kansas was made famous by the murder of the Clutter family and Truman Capote's ground-breaking book on the crime, In Cold Blood. But fewer know that Olathe achieved notoriety again in 1982, when a member of Olathe's growing Evangelical Christian population, a gentle man named David Harmon, was bludgeoned to death while sleeping - the force of the blows crushing his face beyond recognition.

Revisado: 09-09-21
I found that the narrator did a great job. With that said he has a unique style of narration, so you may want listen to the preview before purchasing this.
When it comes to the story fiction could not have been any better. Without giving anything away it left me thinking.

If you looking for the Ponzi scheme as the main story. This may not be the story for you. It is mainly about group of people and there lives they lead. If you like Ann Patchett stories especially The Commonwealth you probably like this also. They are similar and yet very different. Lastly the narrator did a good job on this book.

Good book
Revisado: 12-16-19
This is a good book, and had no problem getting into the book. The only problem with this book, is that I found it very disturbing, and had trouble sleeping while listening and after listening to this book. I have listen to many true crime books and just found this one just a little harder to deal with nature of cruelty of the main character. The book is well written and the performance was great, and I do not regret buying this book.

The Truth Will Always Come Out
Revisado: 06-09-19
As a person who's been born and raised in the Catholic Church, and still a Catholic, I found this very interesting how other churches deal with there own scandals. This book gives a great perspective about inter workings of a mega church. The great works that they due. The fame of being a founder of a mega church, and the high cost that goes with it. Lastly some of the bad things that happen in mega churches. This book is easy to listen to, and time goes fast listening to this book.

Based on unprecedented access, award-winning journalist Ramin Setoodeh takes you backstage where the stars really spoke their minds.

Tell All Book
Revisado: 05-18-19
The book was good, gives a great account behind the scenes of the view. It is very similar to a Kitty Kelley book, with same details and research. It definitely unveil the masks for many of the View stars.
I was hesitant to buy the this because of the reviews of the narrator. Well he did not do a bad job. He did not stumble over the words, or mispronounced words. He did not read to fast or to slow. He did not read overly dry so you feel like you want go to sleep. Nor did he do different voices and impersonations. He just did an ok job.

Typical Danielle Steel book
Revisado: 05-13-19
If you like Danielle Steel's books, and you probably will like this too. Characters are distinctive and the plot is good. The book has a good flow and speed. It is not hard to read or hard to follow .
With that said I really don't think it's worth a credit, I got it on sale and do not regret buying it. My issue with this book is that Danielle does not do much research. I fallowed Downton Abbey and watch the interviews. I also know that England television programs are not like the US. She put information in and it is not how the English does things. It can be frustrating when you here or read this in the book.
