Good narration, good story line
Revisado: 11-02-24
Story line was good. I could’ve used a tiny bit more on the Ci’s background but I liked the story liked the mention of other characters from other stories being tied in as well. Especially since theyre supposed to be from same areas most times. Narration was good also.

Older material
Revisado: 10-25-24
I could tell this was older material. It was a decent story but the narrators were terrible. It sounded like they were reading a lot of the time. Took me out of the zone. This was still KC signature alpha male love story but these women were a little annoying to me. This was an included title but if it weren’t I would’ve been upset.

Historia
In my book, you will meet a little girl named Viola who ran from her past until she made a life-changing decision to stop running forever. This is my story, from a crumbling apartment in Central Falls, Rhode Island, to the stage in New York City, and beyond. This is the path I took to finding my purpose but also my voice in a world that didn’t always see me.

Felt a Connection…
Revisado: 01-22-23
I definitely felt a connection to her from her story. Having experienced some of this myself. She did a wonderful job narrating as she should have being her story but I have to say I felt a little cheated in the end. The end felt rushed and let me with questions that could’ve been answered then in there.

I just CANNOT with this girl!
Revisado: 01-28-22
The story was good. Nicole small always does amazing with narration. But Ashley…smh ima need you to cut it out now. Messiah? Meek? Why?. I’m so upset knowing what’s it going to come down to and I can’t wait to hear it. I would’ve liked to hear just a little more in the background of the what she and bash had been going through and I would’ve liked to have heard what Morgans running off from the wedding boutique resulted in from bash’s pov but I’m sure you’re going to make me wait until book 2. I also would’ve liked to see what kind of help Morgan continued to get to deal with her depression since she left for London for 2 years. Would’ve liked to know she didn’t just work through it by not thinking about. Otherwise it was great!

Revisado: 12-20-21
Story was actually pretty interesting but I def felt like there should have been more of a happy ending somewhere. It was very drama filled. I’m sad reagan didn’t get hers. Would’ve loved to see her have a good ending with her kid and one of the Romeo’s. I was so over the editing, did no one notice the long pauses in the audio?

Good Read
Revisado: 12-09-21
This was a very good read. Author did a great job. I’m just getting into Ashley Antoinette’s work. She a little redundant but the stories are good. The characters are addicting and maddening at the same time. Reading the ethic series made me want to go back and read some older work relating to the characters. I see a lot of similarities in the stories. And Will someone explain to me how Morgan went from talking in moth to a flame to deaf since birth in the ethic series?

Historia
"My name is 'J' and I'm awkward--and Black. Someone once told me those were the two worst things anyone could be. That someone was right. Where do I start?" Being an introvert in a world that glorifies cool isn't easy. But when Issa Rae, the creator of the Shorty Award-winning hit series The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl, is that introvert--whether she's navigating love, work, friendships, or rapping--it sure is entertaining.

Issa did a great job narrating. The stories were super fun and you could even learn a little bit from them. Her sense of humor was right up my alley. The stories were a little scatter brained but I t was so Issa. Or so How we’ve come to love her.

Awesome read
Revisado: 08-03-21
The writing was great. Reni is a very good writer. For it to end the way it did, I would’ve liked to have heard more about the individual girls and their journeys to becoming who they were. I thought the death at the end could’ve been a little more elaborate. The performance of the author was superb. She brought great love to the characters. I found myself deeply engaged because of her. I think this would make a great movie. Perhaps even a TV series.
