Historia
In his celebrated best seller Catch Me If You Can, Frank Abagnale recounted his youthful career as a master imposter and forger. In The Art of the Steal, Abagnale tells the remarkable story of how he parlayed his knowledge of cons and scams into a successful career as a consultant to businesses on preventing financial foul play - while revealing to listeners how they can identify and outsmart perpetrators of fraud.

Very Limited and Misinformative
Revisado: 12-09-06
Frank Abernathy is very "Check Centered". This book has some very good descriptions about check safety, but sadly much of it is very dated. Advice such as choose a bank than requires you to pick up your checks at the bank. hmmm....
He also exposes his technology phobia clearly. On the internet he states simply that he recommends not using it!? He never does! I was hoping as the description leads the user to believe that there would be a wealth of information on how to protect your identity on the internet, not simply to "say no"...
Also this narrator is not one of my favorites. Very dry with a sarcastic tone to it that was irratating to me. It implied a dismissive, irrated tone that I don't know if the author meant it to have.
I got three quarters through really looking forward to the Internet section. Once I got there I was extremely disappointed, and thus disappointed with the entire book.

Historia
This special collector's edition offers over 7 hours of compelling stories, lectures, meditations, and actual practices from one of the 20th century's most beloved spiritual figures. For over 30 years, Ram Dass has touched thousands of seekers with his personal search for greater truth. But, in 1997, a debilitating stroke left him struggling to speak again to the generation he so inspired. Experiments in Truth preserves his teachings for his followers and for a new generation seeking the path to inner consciousness. Each of the 8 lectures in Experiments in Truth is a gem of humor, insight, and intelligence, which will bring inspiration to people of all faiths and walks of life.

Great Historical Record of Ram Dass
Revisado: 07-29-05
I have listened to Ram Dass for many years on borrowed cassette tapes shared between afficianado's. I was very surprised and pleased to find many of the lectures all in one place. Although the quality is poor on many of them (as they are on the tapes also), the stories and messages are timeless. The first lecture I believe is the Heart of Compassion. The second lecture was recorded in 1970 when he first arrived back from India and details many of his experiences at Harvard and his relationship with Timothy Leary and his first experiences with the Indian Spiritual Leader. I haven't listened to the rest of the lectures yet so cannot comment as what else is contained within the book.
I am hoping his lecture to the American Psychological Association (APA) called seasons of change is also in this one...
As always, Ram Dass is moving, humorous and thought (or should I say spiritually) provoking. A must have for any Ram Dass listener.
