Historia
When Marcus Church brings his brother Claude in to help solve an unusual murder, I’m positive he did it just to disrupt my monotonous life. None of my coworkers in the Vampire Related Crimes unit seem to understand that I want to keep a wall between me and everyone else - especially Claude, who does everything he can to break through it with an annoying smile. After more vampires begin to die, Claude pinpoints the actions of the killers to a group of vampire hunters, leaving us in a race to stop them.

talent meets talent
Revisado: 03-22-23
the story is great. love the series, love the characters, love ALMOST everything about the story itself. Alexei was a bit too cold for too long. I get WHY he is the way he is and his snarky grouchy personality as a whole isn't that bad but it went a bit too long for me.
on the other hand the narration is INSANE. THIS book just shows why "ferra-junkies" are a thing. this dude is so talented with voices you forget you aren't listening to a movie from the next room. in like 9 hours of performance his accent slipped the smallest amount maybe 4 times. the unique way each character was represented was astounding. even if you don't like alice winters, or vampires, or mm romance, you should still listen because it's just that good.

Historia
I’ve investigated some pretty strange cases in my life, but I have to say this is a first. A corpse - a murder victim - has gone missing during the middle of an investigation, and no one has any clue where it went. Psy is called in to clear the investigative team, make sure they’re not an accomplice. It’s a four-hour drive outside of Nashville, to a place famous for being haunted, so none of us are particularly eager to go. And then we arrive on scene and I see who we’re dealing with and I want nothing more than to turn around and go right back to Nashville.

top notch story
Revisado: 02-03-21
the story was amazing. jon and donavon were at it again and getting back into their lives was a joy.
narration was good, not great. it just seemed less polished than the last book. voices fell out in some parts but overall the performance was good. very satisfying.
top notch all the way around

Historia
Thor, Norse god of the storms, was extremely frustrated Lasse was making a heap of excuses to back out of all the fun activities they used to do before Lasse's mate, Jason, got pregnant. It wasn't as though he objected to his best friend finding his true mate, it's just he didn't think Lasse should worry himself gray over the things Jason enjoyed doing. And okay, maybe the storm over Manhattan wasn't strictly necessary, but...who was that man who glowed in the rain? Yep, glowed.

great story
Revisado: 12-31-20
great story, not great narration. sweet story of love and acceptance. in true lisa oliver style there is a bit of angst but the characters pull their heads out of it and get their HEA.
narration left a lot to be desired unfortunately. im not sure if those were regional pronunciations but some of them grated in a big way. still, the speed was good and his voice isnt bad.

Historia
I’m rather used to the crazy cases, because let’s face it, most cops can handle the run-of-the-mill with their eyes closed. I’m only called in when the situation is weird or they need to solve the case fast. This case is a little of both. Someone’s attacking women as they get off of work, hitting them in the back of the head. What started as a case of battery has steadily built up to homicide. With three murders, six victims, and no leads, the Clarksville PD is desperate to catch the assailant. But there’s no real leads for us to follow, either....

love this book so much!
Revisado: 10-28-20
granted, this is not my favorite from the "jon's mysteries" series, but i still love it more than a good chunk of other books. good mystery, good romance, and gotta love jon and don for a multitude of reasons.
narration was pretty good, not great. i didnt like that he phased in and out of accents so randomly. his voice reminded me of an old noir heavy smoking detective. still, the read was pretty good overall and i wouldnt hesitate to listen to this again.

Historia
Carter Benson is a lonely, scarred mess of an alpha. Honorably discharged from the army after being injured, he is left with very little that really matters. All he has is a trust fund he refuses to touch, burns on his face, and a brand new prosthesis. He doesn't have his family, he isn't near his friends, and his face makes small children cry. So he goes to Maine, finds a tiny town, and starts a business as a plumber. It doesn't help his loneliness, though. Until a little girl hunts him down and forces him to be her new best friend.

fantastic!
Revisado: 10-25-20
this was a fantastic story! definitely in the category of "insta-love" bit so well done you can actually buy that its real. set in an omegaverse but only a little of the discrimination thay often comes from those stories. have read this book about a dozen times and greatly enjoyed the audiobook.
the narration was pretty good. not awesome but it didnt get annoying to me at all which is saying something as i get irritated VERY easily by bad narration. there are alot of characters, so doing individual voices for each, especially considering most appear often in each book of the series, would have been an extremely tall order. i like that it wasnt really attempted honestly though there were some conversations that were hard to follow, as well as some areas where it was hard to tell if it was dialogue or just thoughts. all in all though i still enjoyed it. love being able to enjoy a good book while i knit.
great job. highly recommended!!

A psychic without an anchor. A student in trouble. A shooter on the loose. I’m Jonathan Bane, a licensed psychic who consults for the police. I routinely help the police put the bad guys away and, for that reason, the criminal world doesn’t like me much. My psychic ability prevents me from handling anything electronic - and I do mean anything, I fry it in seconds - so calling for help isn’t always a possibility. I need an anchor, a partner, but I’m resigned: It’s just wishful thinking. At least, I thought so until he walked through the door.

Narrator made this EPIC
Revisado: 10-23-20
i love this book and have read it a dozen times at least. its funny, sweet, and fantastically interesting. i have to say though, kenneth obi made this story EPIC. the accent was amazing even if it sort of went texas sometimes instead of Tennessee. his inflections flowed so well it was all dazzling. loved this audio book like crazy.
really wish it was the same narrator for the second book. i listened to the sample and it reminded me of an old noir chain smoking detective. no thanks. hooe this guy is it for the 3rd so bad!!!!!!

loved the story. seriously and absolutely loved the story. the narrator was.... eh. it was good sometimes but then he starts going too fast or something and his voice gets shakey like he is running on a treadmill or about to cry. really distracting.
