Historia
Famed sculptor Clare Kimball has commanded the attention of the New York art world, but troubling memories from childhood have drawn her home to Maryland, to the town where she grew up and where her father died so long ago in circumstances never really explained. Nothing much has changed in Emmitsboro—except Cameron Rafferty, the onetime high school bad boy turned town sheriff. The only hint of Cam’s wild nature is the light in his eyes when he looks at Clare. In Cam’s strong arms Clare is seduced into falling in love—and believing that her small-town world is safe.

Historia
The Duke of Portsmouth offers an impecunious half-French relative a job as his young son's nanny. What he quickly discovers is that he wants her, badly. What he discovers far more slowly is that she isn't at all what she seems. Evangeline de Beauchamps is in way over her head. She has far more to cope with than a nineteen-year-old virgin should ever have. To top it all off, she must play an experienced widow with a man who knows women as well as he knows his horses, or so he thinks.

Historia
Dear Listener: Season of the Sun first appeared in 1991. Zarabeth, with hair as red as an Irish sunset, is chosen by Magnus Haraldsson, a Viking on a trading visit to York, to be his wife. She is both stunned and fascinated by this man’s bluntness, his arrogance, his absolute belief that she is meant to belong to him. He also makes her laugh and ultimately she gives him her trust, not only with her future but with that of her little sister, Lotti. But Zarabeth’s stepfather, Olav the Vain, has no intention of setting a bride price on Zarabeth.

An excellent read/listen.
Revisado: 09-07-16
Would you listen to Mrs. Grant and Madame Jule again? Why?
Yes, most likely, I will. The historic value of this story is excellent. Things I had long ago forgotten.
What other book might you compare Mrs. Grant and Madame Jule to and why?
I'm unsure.
What about Christina Moore’s performance did you like?
She has made the story come alive for me. I've listened to audible books for years now. And, Miss Moore's performance here is very well done.
If you could rename Mrs. Grant and Madame Jule, what would you call it?
The title of this book suits the stories within quite well. A different title? I'd have to give it some thought.
Any additional comments?
Very glad I made this purchase.

One of her best yet.
Revisado: 08-30-14
What made the experience of listening to Public Secrets the most enjoyable?
The story line, the narrator, the characters were all believable. The emotions came across as true. The only part I had trouble believing was where Emma could remember being so young.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Emma. the main character. Nora Roberts' made her so real, even as a child, with her musings, her emotions and her thoughts.
What about Renee Raudman’s performance did you like?
Yes, very much. She did an excellent job in differentiating the characters' voices, whether American or British. I usually have one or two problems with the believability of the narrators but, this time I didn't.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Oh, yes. Although the lengthiness of the book would have prohibited it.
Any additional comments?
I hope Ms. Roberts continues writing along these lines. Although, there are very few of her books that I haven't enjoyed.

The WORST Nora Roberts book
Revisado: 08-10-14
Would you try another book from Nora Roberts and/or Napoleon Ryan?
Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors. Napoleon Ryan is the worst narrator I've had the misfortune of hearing.
What was most disappointing about Nora Roberts’s story?
The setting. I'm not fond of stories involving the Middle East these days.
What didn’t you like about Napoleon Ryan’s performance?
His voice alone is irritating enough.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
I stopped listening to it after about an hour or so. So, that said, I found nothing actually that I liked.
Any additional comments?
I will be more careful the next time I order an audible book, and make sure I listen to the sample before purchasing a book.

Historia
With indifferent parents, Iona Sheehan grew up craving devotion and acceptance. From her maternal grandmother, she learned where to find both: a land of lush forests, dazzling lakes, and centuries-old legends. Ireland. County Mayo, to be exact. Where her ancestors’ blood and magic have flowed through generations - and where her destiny awaits. Iona arrives in Ireland with nothing but her Nan’s directions, an unfailingly optimistic attitude, and an innate talent with horses.

Liked the book just not the narrator.
Revisado: 11-22-13
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
I would if they enjoyed this type of story.
If you’ve listened to books by Nora Roberts before, how does this one compare?
About middle of the road. It isn't one of her best but, not the worst, either.
What didn’t you like about Katherine Kellgren’s performance?
From other readers, it sounds like I had the same problem they did. Her voice in some of the parts was far too shrill for my taste. Turning down the volume was sometimes the only thing I could do.
Do you think Dark Witch needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Of course, it does. We all know how his one ended, but there are the other 3 witches who are lacking in the romance department.
Any additional comments?
While this is by far not Ms. Roberts best work, it is decent. Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors, in the fiction area. Reading her books you know that there was quite a lot of research done in the locations, the lore of the land, whether in Ireland or wherever her plots are made.

Another of Nora Roberts' Excellent Books!
Revisado: 08-21-12
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Depending on whether she likes this sort of book, I definately would recommend it as a good read.
What other book might you compare The Next Always to and why?
The "Three Sisters" trilogy. Because, again it's got the romance and the mystery of most of Ms. Roberts' books.
Which character – as performed by MacLeod Andrews – was your favorite?
Claire, hands down.
