Historia
Two decades after the publication of The Black Book of Communism, nearly everyone is or at least should be aware of the immense evil produced by that devilish ideology first hatched when Karl Marx penned his Communist Manifesto two centuries ago. Far too many people, however, separate Marx the man from the evils wrought by the oppressive ideology and theory that bears his name.

Human history is full of the stories of peasants, subjects, and tribes. Yet the concept of the “citizen” is historically rare — and was among America’s most valued ideals for over two centuries. But without shock treatment, warns historian Victor Davis Hanson, American citizenship as we have known it may soon vanish.

Compelling narrative hinging off a foundation of geopolitical facts
Revisado: 07-13-21
A very well written tale of caution that helps to highlight what could happen and spurs imagination about how best to anticipate and prepare for the scenarios described in this book.
In the interview Admiral Stavridis does a decent job of laying out what is a desirable precept for military service that being that those of us who serve must take an apolitical stance in our service.
However the description of 1/6/21 as an assault on the cathedral of our democracy though correct and a rational view should have expanded out a little to examine the true predicate for the broader dissent of the populists and paint a path for national unity palatable to those who feel with a large measure of legitimacy they were disenfranchised on 11/3/2020
To dismiss their contentions out of hand and announce that this same fine woke millennial generation will be conducting a purge of the military via CRT etc cements division in place and would mean Commodore Sarah Hunt would have to deal with a bifurcated command and employ asymmetric NJP
Why not rethread MLKs positions and unify around them this worked well for at least 30 years
All the best keep writing Admiral!

Historia
In this seminal work that has spent more than 30 years in print, Dennis Prager and Joseph Telushkin explain the reasons behind anti-Semitism, the world's preoccupation with the Jews and Israel, and why now more than ever the world needs to confront anti-Jewish sentiment. Prager and Telushkin examine in detail how anti-Semitism is a unique hatred - no other prejudice has been as universal, deep, or permanent - and how the concept of the "chosen people" spawned that hatred.

Discrimination and Disparities challenges believers in such one-factor explanations of economic outcome differences as discrimination, exploitation, or genetics. It is listenable enough for people with no prior knowledge of economics. Yet the empirical evidence with which it backs up its analysis spans the globe and challenges beliefs across the ideological spectrum.

It’s become fashionable among the liberal elite to downplay, deride, and even deny America’s greatness. And besides, it’s not nice to brag....
