Historia
On a flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that’s going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he’s sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché. But their game turns a little darker when Ted jokes that he could kill Miranda....

Apparently I am a Peter Swanson fan. Who knew?! On to the next one. Cheers to Lily Kitner and Henry Kimball.

Much Fun. My Favorite So Far.
Revisado: 11-17-23
While I did miss the previous reader’s voice, I settled in well with the new lady as the story developed. Very well done. Funny. Great work on accents and visual pictures. Enjoyable character building.
I have really enjoyed these books in order so far. Great fun. This one has been the funnest to date. Plenty of unexpected things twists/turns too.

Narrator is frustrating
Revisado: 11-02-23
This is my first experience with this series. I am still listening to it. But this narrator is grating on me. Overly dramatic. The tone seems way off.

Couldn’t Stop Listening
Revisado: 02-06-23
Beautifully written, beautifully read. The descriptions are tangible. This book has layers, lessons, wisdom. The women are so similar, yet polar opposites. I loved it. Great survival lesson- in life, love, and the snowy wilderness. Bravo!

Recently engaged and deeply ensconced in her third year of surgical residency in Chicago, Emily Hartford gets a shock when she is called home to Freeport, Michigan, the small town she fled a decade ago after the death of her mother. Her estranged father, the local medical examiner, has had a massive heart attack. At the hospital, she finds her father in near total denial of the seriousness of his condition. He insists that the best thing Emily can do to help him is to take on the autopsy of a senator's teen daughter whose sudden, unexplained death has just rocked the sleepy town.

Abrupt Ending
Revisado: 11-24-21
I liked the book ok. Some parts were predictable but some of the info was new learning for me. My main comment though is that it ended too abruptly. Several issues were left unresolved.
