Excellent story and performance!
Revisado: 11-16-23
Loved it! Had never heard of the author before, but both the title and the summary made me want to listen to it. I could relate to both Adam and Mike at different parts of the story. Well worth the cost of a credit; I will definitely look for more books by her.

Historia
Jesse Boston is the man of my dreams. He's super sexy, super rich, and super funny. He gets all my jokes, he treats me like a princess, and our love life is smokin' hot. So I'm gonna marry him. I'm not real picky about how that happens, and if my mother wants to have her say, fine. That's fine. She gave birth to three boys and just one girl. So I get it. She NEEDS a wedding. But when she invites my childhood nemesis, KAREN, to plan our wedding AND be one of my bride's maids? Uh - no. It's not happening.

laughed so hard!!
Revisado: 08-29-23
I do not usually read light, comic books. One of the reasons why I usually love Huss' books is because they generally deal with darker, more serious relationships. But I love reading series so naturally I'm making my way through the Bossy Bros series and come to Emma's book. I have not laughed so hard since I read Janet Evanovich's ONE FOR THE MONEY 30 years ago. Do NOT miss reading this book. It fits in perfectly with the rest of the Bossy books but is a great opportunity to giggle and laugh out loud! (I have not written a review ever, despite reading well over a 100 books a year, but I just needed to make sure that no one missed this one!!!)

first time I've ever returned a book
Revisado: 04-29-22
All the books by Susanna Kearsley that I've listen to have been wonderful, until this one. The narrator is so bad that I'm returning the book. I will have to buy the kindle version because I can't listen to this woman one more minute! Please audible, fire her. I. would give her performance negative points if it was possible.

hard to put down. story was well told and had enough twists and turns to keep our interest. and the idea that it was based on a real situation made it appalling.

After nearly five decades, one might think they were wellacquainted with Lady Isabella Trent - dragon naturalist, scandalous explorer, and perhaps as infamous for her company and feats of daring as she is famous for her discoveries and additions to the scientific field. And yet - after her initial adventure in the mountains of Vystrana and her exploits in the depths of war-torn Eriga, to the high seas aboard the Basilisk and then to the inhospitable deserts of Akhia - Lady Trent has captivated hearts along with fierce minds.

the thought that this will be the last time we hear from Lady Trent makes me sad -- a fitting conclusion to the series, but a conclusion none the less. I hope Marie Brennan finds a new universe soon to write about.

Even those who take no interest in the field of dragon naturalism have heard of Lady Trent's expedition to the inhospitable deserts of Akhia. Her discoveries there are the stuff of romantic legend, catapulting her from scholarly obscurity to worldwide fame. The details of her personal life during that time are hardly less private, having provided fodder for gossips in several countries.

I'm so sorry that I'm almost at the end of the series. Each book was good in itself, but the whole keeps getting better.
there are other series by Brennan that if you haven't read you should.

Revisado: 02-09-16
The narration was much better in this book than in the last one. Liked the story; did not like the ending but I guess I'll have to see. Have liked all of the Kate Shugak novels. Read/listen to them in order.
