Not Happy

I just couldn’t relate to anything. Not one I would recommend to my friends. Maybe another book by the same author will catch my interest 🤷🏼♀️

Historia
Della Wright is an incredible campaigner for the rights of abuse victims after suffering a lifetime of betrayal. Left alone at home for the first time at only two years old by those tasked with her care, Della was let down first by social services. When known paedophile Terry Price entered her life when she was six, moving into her home, he would groom and sexually abuse her for the next five years. Even the sight of a little girl going to his probation meetings wasn't enough to make the authorities act.

Historia
Thrown Away Child is a memoir covering Louise Allen’s abusive childhood in a foster home, how she survived - using her love of art as a sanctuary - and how she hopes to right old wrongs now by fostering children herself and campaigning for the improvement of foster care services. It is a compelling and inspirational story. This book gives a voice to the many children who grew up unhappily in care.

Thank you so much for sharing your story. When I hear others stories, my abuse is nothing compared … It keeps me in perspective of how good my life really is. Thank you 😌 🙏🏼
