How Jennette’s mom enforced extreme calorie restriction to control and bond with Jennette, and the moment her body finally said, No. 3. What led Jennette to step away from acting after her iCarly stardom, and why she doesn’t think “resilient” is a compliment. 4. Wonderful Interview
Revisado: 04-17-23
This was a true authentic conversation by all of the participants. On occasion they will have a guest that does all of the talking, making the show seem more of a lecture than a give and take. On this episode I felt like I was listening to a group of close women friends. - Loved it! PS I also really like the theme song, a very talented young woman indeed.

Historia
Make sure the kids aren’t around! Just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the art of the children’s bedtime story. Nick Offerman presents this collection of 12 short stories written in the style of a classic kids' tale, but with a decidedly dark and adult approach. What really happened after Snow White died, from the perspective of the one medically trained dwarf? A naive wizard professor reports back from the trenches of an underprivileged school of magic. And much more!

Good Series
Revisado: 02-07-17
What made the experience of listening to The Fate of the Tearling the most enjoyable?
Overall, I enjoyed this 3 book series. This last book does a good job of bringing the different threads back together. After listening to book 3 I went back and listened again to the first two.
The reader for the third book was a poor choice for this book. She did a terrible male voice which was very distracting, it was hard to get into the scary male characters since she made them all sound 1) alike and 2) squeeky!
Book 2 is so well read/performed by Davina Porter, it was a shame she did not do this book too!

Storyline jumped around too much
Revisado: 06-21-16
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The editing seemed inconsistent, at times the story dragged into banal details and then would spring back into action. The ending was a bore too, but perhaps it was the simplest way to set up the next book in the series.
Would you ever listen to anything by Deborah Harkness again?
Yes
Which scene was your favorite?
Fighting the female vampire
Could you see A Discovery of Witches being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
no idea

Not for me - Gay sex with S&M
Revisado: 09-19-15
What would have made Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade better?
After listening to the Outlander series I decided to try the Lord John series. I am disappointed I didn't read in any other reviews that the focus of the book would be so filled with gay sex.
What do you think your next listen will be?
Not gay sex.
What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?
Vocal variety

Revisado: 05-06-06
This is a wonderful story, and she has a lovely voice. I can't recall enjoying a book more.
Her physical and spiritual journeys are fascinating and inspiring. I don’t want to mimic her journey but she has inspired me to more carefully consider the journey my soul is craving.
Liz, I would love to meet you and thank you personally for your beautiful work.
