Historia
Kim Hani has retired from a life of devouring souls. She is, simply put, too full. Once known as the infamous Scarlet Fox, she now spends her days working in a coffee shop and annoying a particularly irritating, if unfairly handsome, trickster god as often as she can. That god is Seokga the Fallen. Exiled from the heavenly kingdom of Okhwang, he now begrudgingly resides in the mortal realm, working toward his redemption and suffering through his interactions with the particularly infuriating, if sneakily charming, gumiho barista at his favorite café.

Enjoyable as a whole
Revisado: 03-29-25
I loved the South Korean mythology and that is was set in the 90s. The two leads interaction for half of the book was really annoying. I almost DNF’ed the book but the plot kept me going and then at the ending was satisfying. The whole time I kept thinking I’m not continuing with this series until the end of the book and now I will be reading the second book. Hopefully the characters won’t be so annoying.

Four months have passed since the shadow stone fell into Kell's possession. Four months since his path crossed with Delilah Bard. Four months since Rhy was wounded and the Dane twins fell, and the stone was cast with Holland's dying body through the rift, and into Black London. In many ways, things have almost returned to normal, though Rhy is more sober, and Kell is now plagued by his guilt.

Historia
Kell is one of the last Travelers - magicians with a rare, coveted ability to travel between parallel universes. As such, he can choose where he lands. There's Grey London, dirty and boring, without any magic, ruled by a mad King George. Then there's Red London, where life and magic are revered, and the Maresh Dynasty presides over a flourishing empire. There's White London, ruled by whoever has murdered their way to the throne. And once upon a time, there was Black London...but no one speaks of that now.

Revisado: 01-25-25
I really enjoyed the concept of parallel Londons and the story was a fun ride. There were times where I wasn’t in the world and so it wasn’t gripping me like some other works but I’ll continue with the series and I’m looking forward where this series goes.

Historia
As one of the few witches in Britain, Mika Moon knows she has to hide her magic, keep her head down, and stay away from other witches so their powers don’t mingle and draw attention. And as an orphan who lost her parents at a young age and was raised by strangers, she’s used to being alone and she follows the rules...with one exception: an online account, where she posts videos "pretending" to be a witch. She thinks no one will take it seriously.

It was a cute story and had something but needed to go deeper
Revisado: 12-27-24
I got through the whole book but it was just ok. I think the story had something but didn’t go deep enough and everything was wrapped up too fast and neat. The author could have taken more time with the feelings in the last five chapters and less time with the first 25 chapters. All in all there are better books to spend your time on.

Story was great
Revisado: 06-21-24
Holly Black is my favorite author and the folk of air series is my favorite series. The story was so good but the narrator butcher Cardan and Jude’s voices. Also, every time he said Nacasia, it was like nails going down the chalk board. He should have prepared better and listened to how the original narrator performed the first folk of air books so get the right vibe.

I’ve received the Percy Jackson books before but I never mentioned how great the narrator is. His villain voices are so funny and perfect for the story. I love how Luke sounds like a surfer. So perfect.

Such a good series
Revisado: 02-18-24
My daughter and I love these books. Such a good series to get into after Harry Potter. My daughter likes that Percy isn’t the most famous like Harry was. We both like the humor in the books. This is also a good series of fans of Greeking Out.
