Historia
David Stockman was the architect of the Reagan Revolution that was meant to restore sound money principles to the U.S. government. It failed, derailed by politics, special interests, welfare, and warfare. Stockman describes how the working of free markets and democracy has long been under threat in America and provides a surprising, nonpartisan catalog of the corrupters and defenders. His analysis shows how both liberal and neoconservative interference in markets has proved damaging and often dangerous.

Rebuttal of 1 star review
Revisado: 04-06-13
Any additional comments?
I could not wait for 36 hours to rebut the 1 star review, so after 1 hour of listening I give this book the highest marks for content and production. Finally someone who understands both Government and finance lays out in understandable and chronological order how crony capitalism, an unchecked FED and bigger and bigger government is destroying free market capitalism and prosperity in this country.

Historia
It's a sad and eerie harbinger of our times that the Oprah-watching, crystal-rubbing, Whole Foods-shopping moms and their whipped attorney husbands have taken the ability to reason away from the poor schlub who makes the Bloody Marys. What we used to settle with common sense or a fist, we now settle with hand sanitizer and lawyers. Adam Carolla has had enough of this insanity and he's here to help us get our collective balls back.

Fantastic audio book! I listened on a long road trip and the time flew by! Adam Carolla has great insight and he read the book like you were having a few beers with an intelligent, funny friend. Highly recommend.

Historia
In little more than half a decade, Facebook has gone from a dorm-room novelty to a company with 500 million users. It is one of the fastest growing companies in history, an essential part of the social life not only of teenagers but hundreds of millions of adults worldwide. As Facebook spreads around the globe, it creates surprising effects, even becoming instrumental in political protests from Colombia to Iran.

Indepth info on social networking
Revisado: 07-24-10
Anyone interested in what the social network phenomenon is all about should listen to this book. David Kirkpatrick does a great job of not only navigating the history of Facebook but also explaining the whole concept of social networking and the reasons for its worldwide acceptance.
While I admire Kirkpatrick's writing his audio production can be quite annoying at times. His microphone is obviously very close to his mouth and the listener must endure frequent inhaling of breath and the sounds of saliva gathering in his mouth. A better audio production would have made this a 5 star effort.

Insightful and motivational
Revisado: 11-10-05
This is a great motivational listen about how a man overcame a personal handicap and used the power of other people to build the Kinko's empire. There is a lot of common sense wisdom on building a business, investing money and dealing with people that young and old will find valuable. I thought the book was well read and held my interest throughout.
