A wild collection of funny stories
Revisado: 03-07-16
This is a great audiobook. Open, honest and funny as all hell. You may want to listen in private as the stories are racy but this is great. And a couple chapters are read by the author's drag persona who gets some zingers in.

Historia
If the past is prologue, then George R. R. Martin's masterwork - the most inventive and entertaining fantasy saga of our time - warrants one hell of an introduction. At long last, it has arrived with The World of Ice & Fire. This volume is a comprehensive history of the Seven Kingdoms, providing vividly constructed accounts of the epic battles, bitter rivalries, and daring rebellions that lead to the events of A Song of Ice and Fire and HBO's Game of Thrones.

Like a greatest hits album without an extra song

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
such a disappointment and after such a long wait. if you want equally dense and leaden prose yet infinitely more compelling read the bible. this just felt like a book that was way too inside and only meant for the nerdboys.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Roy Dotrice and Nicholas Guy Smith ?
roy finally had a producer again with this one which definitely helped keep his pronunciation on point.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
nope - stopping it mid way through.
