I listened to this audiobook over the course of a couple of weeks. I have a sleep disorder and I’m a psychotherapist who asks my clients about their sleep hygiene, so I thought I’d already done my homework on sleep. Walker completely and entertainingly schooled me. Here’s what I learned and I’ll keep it short: Sleep is of paramount importance to health, happiness, successful relationships at home and at work. Even more broadly, a well-slept populace and their leaders will make better decisions and be less violent. We need to value sleep as much as we value nutrition and exercise. See the tips in the appendix. Nigh-night!

A moving, well-told, creative account of the artist’s first 21 years. A must listen.

Compelling and relevant content read by the author who voices people he has interviewed in a most entertaining way. I’m now a huge Ronan Farrow fan!

Sometimes I respond out loud to audiobooks. With this book, I found myself getting so frustrated with the main character and author’s continual use the main character/narrator’s idiocy as a plot device, I ended up yelling at this book a lot. And I’m usually such a calm person— I wonder what got over me?
