Please find a more exciting narrator

The story is intriguing, which is why I continue to purchase. I did not like the author as narrator and I certainly don’t like the current narrator. She sounds like she’s reading to some grade school kids or someone who is trying to learn English. Let’s get a more exciting narrator. That’s my 2 cents.

Not what I expected.

I followed this book because I didn’t want to be left hanging. Very disappointing at the end. Why would anyone want to go out like that when they have a child and in front of his woman. On the run would have been better. Cuba, or some other place. And the narration sucked. Should have kept Steven Taylor for this at lease. Dude pronounced Halle’s name all wrong. Smh

Couldn't stop listening

Okay so this has got to be one of the best I've listen to so far. I was driving out of my way to continue listening. Instead of music while in the gym I was listening to this story. I dug the way you portrayed Jah when Yoshi was raped. That part almost brought a nigga to tears man. Shit I felt that for real. Had to pulse for a minute, lol. Even Cary Hite gets some kudos on this one.

Reader not believable

I'm into the content and story, but the reader seems as if he's trying too hard. First of all he keeps pronouncing "Lou Loc" as "Lou Lock" on multiple occasions. Also, during some of the character conversations it sounds like a strained "B-Movie" or some guy from the suburbs trying to hard. People from the street DO NOT talk like that. Don't get me wrong the guy can read and enunciate very well, however he needs practice with the street talking. I have guys I work with trying to do the same shit and I just tell them to be yourself and cut that shit out. I grew up in South Central and we don't talk like this dude is talking. As a matter of fact, I can turn it on and off at will. Dude needs to relax when reading the character lines or get a coach. I'm only going to complete the listening of the book cause I paid for this shit. Now the "Animal" series I have listened to them all and I enjoyed them. There were some parts that were laughable, but I pushed through cause the shit was fire and dude read decent. I ain't no hater and I shall continue to read K'wan cause I like your shit. Shit I like Cary Hite as reader too, but my man you gotta practice your craft and get more realistic to keep people interested. BTW....We need an "Animal" 5 and 6 like yesterday K'wan.

But since I’m not let’s just say I almost hate getting out of my car and I love my hour, sometimes 2 hour commute! Starting on Animal 3 in about 5 minutes!👍🏾
