Ugh, so boring.

Just couldn't get into this story. I like Scott Brick as a narrator but this story is dull. The main character is kind of an a** and a sexist, just not my thing, just drones on and on with no action. Unfortunately Audible takes advantage of those of us with lower incomes because we aren't allowed to return books... you have to be able to afford their preferred status (elitists) plan in order to return a book... soooo, those who need most to watch our pennies are of course given the least. No wonder the rich just keep getting richer.

I like these books and characters but this one didn't seem to have a lot of heart to it. Assuming she'll continue the series, it's a turning point for all the main characters and I'd like to see how they adapt, but I'm not convinced the author is committed.

What made the experience of listening to The Roots of Obama’s Rage the most enjoyable?
Out of the 205 audiobooks I've purchased through Audible.com, this is absolutely the only one that I've ever had trouble downloading. It did download, but without the .aax extension, which makes it unreadable by the computer. Tried it on 2 computers, both macs. Luckily I just happen to know to change the file name to include the .aax extension to make it a recognizable file type. Downloaded to my Android w/o issue.

I miss Marsters... having a hard time getting into this one. Im sure the story will be good but without Marsters' sexy and serious voice, this one is severely disappointing. Glover would be a good for other books but after 13 books + one chapter, Marsters is Harry, this narrator doesnt cut it. bummer. How could Butcher let this happen?
