Historia
Sci-fi's favorite antisocial AI is back on a mission. The case against the too-big-to-fail GrayCris Corporation is floundering, and more importantly, authorities are beginning to ask more questions about where Dr. Mensah's SecUnit is. And Murderbot would rather those questions went away. For good. Martha Wells' Rogue Protocol is the third in the Murderbot Diaries series, starring a humanlike android who keeps getting sucked back into adventure after adventure, though it just wants to be left alone, away from humanity and small talk.

Too expensive
Revisado: 07-29-24
They must be making a lot of money with this new model. Each book is short story and costs seven or eight dollars, They are about the length of two novelas. I felt book 3 was a step backward from book 2, A smaller story, and less emotion for the emerging robot. The thing is, these are really just chapters of one book, I thought the story was great, but them book 2 took a turn and they changed narrators too, also a step backwards. I was still onboard right up to the point where it was $7 a chapter.

Historia
Our universe is ruled by physics, and faster-than-light travel is not possible - until the discovery of The Flow, an extradimensional field we can access at certain points in space-time that transports us to other worlds, around other stars. Humanity flows away from Earth, into space, and in time forgets our home world and creates a new empire, the Interdependency, whose ethos requires that no one human outpost can survive without the others. It's a hedge against interstellar war - and a system of control for the rulers of the empire.

Excellent
Revisado: 01-26-24
Other than the fact that people want to live underground or in space habitats, instead of living on the surface of planets, I think it’s one of the best stories I’ve ever read. The author offers grand galactic scope, coupled with political astuteness that mirrors earth’s history quite well, while he manages to keep things personal and we still root for our hero and heroine. If you’re not currently getting A’s in political science class, just listen to the stories a couple of times and it will explain to you the history of the world.

A bit boring
Revisado: 07-04-23
very drawn out and long winded. I skipped from chapter 22 to the last chapter and didn't really miss anything. it ended exactly as I thought it would. very predictable. also all the doom and gloom messages on climate change....blah blah blah !

When Finlay Ashowan joins the staff of the King and Queen of Daxaria, he’s an enigma. No one knows where he comes from or how he came to be where he is, which suits Fin just fine. He’s satisfied simply serving as the royal cook, keeping nosy passersby out of his kitchen, and concocting some truly uncanny meals. But Fin’s secret identity doesn’t stay hidden for long. After all, it’s not every day a house witch and his kitten familiar, Kraken, take to meddling in imperial affairs.

Awful
Revisado: 06-14-23
Couldn't finish it . Just like a Disney movie it was FULL of woke sentiment, LGBTQ propaganda, gender reversal, shallow characters and painting all strong white males out to be thugs . Another book written only to manipulate they way people view the world.

Fun steampunk romance
Revisado: 02-27-23
Great characters and a fun romance with brave ladies and gallant gentlemen. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Light listening but colourful and descriptive with a steampunk theme. Futuristic but old fashioned. Lovely!

A delightful story about romance but with a story. Excellent use of the English language with not a swear word in sight. So easy to listen to and intriguing to follow.

Fabulous story - love the narrator
Revisado: 08-24-22
This is the third book I have listened to in this series & I loved it. The author has written the story so that it unravels as you go along, and keeps one interested and captivated. It’s a good plot, and always a slight unexpected twist at the end. Stefan is fantastic as a narrator with a deep voice, good pronunciation and inflections. He reads it like you would expect a story to be read. I love him as a narrator and he is perfect for these books. Thank you for this entertaining story……onto the next book!

Needs a new Narrator
Revisado: 04-16-21
Story was fair to okay but was partly lost by the narration. There were times when the characters are mid fighting for their lives and I would assume would be screaming at the top of their lungs instead of slowly and deliberately “talking” . That’s how it came across. A bit breathy. Otherwise story was okay.

Narrator was odd
Revisado: 03-31-21
Narrators delivery was cold and unfeeling for the main character. it made her sound like a robot. Odd choice to read this book.
the character development was flat. Lead lady was immature, weak and plain annoying with her inner tournament. I will skip the rest of the books in this series.

This is how a bad narrator can ruin a book.
Revisado: 03-23-21
The story is week and predictable , but I would have stuck with the book if it were not for the disjointed narration. long pauses ......strange emphasis and painful to listen to.
