Historia
It began with betrayal. And ended in murder. She was never supposed to cross my path. She was never supposed to know about the Currency of Secrets or the Oaths of Blood. But like a thief in the night, she stole my soul even if she wasn't mine to possess. As a member of the Elite, I live by simple tenets. A gentleman above all. Private matters stay private. Secrets whispered are never revealed. Enemies and friends are of the same coin. And power is king. My so-called brothers killed my friend. I intend to make them pay.

I usually love this author BUT
Revisado: 09-26-20
I usually love this author but by the end of the book I had more questions than answers. I think the idea of some sort of cliffhanger at the end is great but there should be some sort of conclusion of at least one aspect of the book. I purposely waited so I could get all 3 books at once based on reviews but it was still frustrating. The performance was great though by the narrators.

Historia
Since his return from war, the Duke of Ashbury's to-do list has been short and anything but sweet: brooding, glowering, menacing London ne'er-do-wells by night. Now there's a new item on the list. He needs an heir - which means he needs a wife. When Emma Gladstone, a vicar's daughter turned seamstress, appears in his library wearing a wedding gown, he decides on the spot that she'll do.

This was a great story. I love the fact that this story stayed focused on the two main characters and their developing love. More novels should be written this was. Excellent performance as well.

Great performance... Okay storyline.

huge fan of Derek Perkins as a performer. The storyline was okay. Whilst it was truly romantic it needed a little more spice... or a challenge of the sort.

Historia
With his work in Montana completed now that the Callahan-Warren feud has ended in marriage rather than bloodshed, Degan Grant sets out for California because it is far away from the home he wants to forget - until the US Marshal who saved his life calls in a favor. All Degan has to do is apprehend three outlaws on the marshal's list and turn them over to the law. Easy enough, he figures, for a man no one wants to tangle with. Worst Highlander book I have ever encountered
Revisado: 08-09-17
This book had so much irrelevant details that made it very difficult to follow. It goes into great detail on information that is in no way relevant to the plot of the story and as such made it hard to connect with the characters. I have never written a poor review on a highland book before but this one was awful. The pink lady story and The killing of the fake monk and so much more did nothing for the story. Whenever something semi exciting was happening the author would go into too much detail on the character's thoughts on something completely different. I think this book had do much potential, if only someone had done some good editing. The performance by Derek Perkins is great, as usual.

This story was ok. Not great but just okay. I was not a fan of the flashback and flash forward parts in the beginning. A little more excitement could have been added to that plot.
