Vulgar slang connecting a potentially good story

Very poorly written, vulgar slang sex scenes connected by a long story with life long conflicts conveniently resolved in last few minutes. Many unrealistic, impossible situations.. Won't listen to the rest of the series. Disappointed because thought the original premise was a great idea.

SO much to love about the book BUT...

So love Susan Wiggs stories and this one is a beauty including an amazing insight into race relations long ago amd now and the horror of rape in any generation. However the totally biased one-sided inclusion of Planned Parenthood ; totallty ignoring the negatives of abortion and its effdcts on women,, the attack on the Catholic church, and the unfair generalization of all police are all an unnecessary distraction/inclusion. The arbitrary inclusion of safe sex practices is also very surprising and illogical. Also illogical is the surprise at the rapist's family suing for libel and slander. These people are nuts! Of course they would use their political clout to go this route. Why is anyone surprised about this?

As a non-Jew wishing to learn more about Passover, the long passages read in Hebrew before the English versions disrupt the flow of the message and learning and make an important event boring. In the print version these can be skipped; not possible in the audiobook.
