Historia
In The Marshmallow Test, Mischel explains how self-control can be mastered and applied to challenges in everyday life - from weight control to quitting smoking, overcoming heartbreak, making major decisions, and planning for retirement. With profound implications for the choices we make in parenting, education, public policy and self-care, The Marshmallow Test will change the way you think about who we are and what we can be.

Nature vs. Nature?
Revisado: 07-27-19
I enjoyed this book, it's stories, and message. The only thing I struggled with was keeping the acronyms straight while listening - if I stopped and started much, I would end up lost. But I'm not sure I would've made it through if I read it, so this was a good alternative!

Historia
This is the first volume in a bold new series that tells the stories of all peoples, connecting historical events from Europe to the Middle East to the far coast of China, while still giving weight to the characteristics of each country. Susan Wise Bauer provides both sweeping scope and vivid attention to the individual lives that give flesh to abstract assertions about human history. This narrative history employs the methods of "history from beneath" - literature, epic traditions, private letters, and accounts - to connect kings and leaders with the lives of those they ruled.

Very Engaging!

It took me a whole school year to listen to it, but it was very worth it! The narrator is quite good and the content is well written and interesting.
