I wish this book was allot shorter and done by DeNiro himself. This reads more like a catalog and with all the work done in his lifetime some of his later works could be glossed over. It becomes clear in the book that there was a shift in DeNiros work from quality to quantity and the Tribeca businesses his was to cash in. After listening to Pacinos life work its a natural life progression to go for the money. Underlying these trends could be the affects of video on demand and streaming content driving a race to the bottom.

Jimmy Carter a great man in a challenging political situation that built an amazing career and successful life.

I think allot of great lessons can be gleaned from this book and some will never be learned. Today’s political polarization and a noisy atmosphere may be the justification one will need to listen to this great book. I respect Jimmy Carter, visited the Carter Center and was pleasantly surprised by his post political activism and achievements.

I think I should have read the abridged version.

I think this story was way too long for me and sometimes seemed overly complicated. Understanding that this is a literary masterpiece of its time perhaps I should have read the abridged version of it.
