Historia
Set in 1906, Dreamhunter describes a world very similar to ours, except for a special place, known simply as "The Place", where only a select group of people can go. These people are called Dreamhunters, and they harvest dreams that are then transmitted to the general public for entertainment, therapy - or terror and political coercion. Inside The Place, 15-year-old Laura finds out what happened to her missing father and uncovers a government secret.

Like a Dream
Revisado: 08-08-10
Elizabeth Knox ability to create worlds we can tour and dwell in is evidenced again in the Dreamhunter and DreamQuake. I've read as many of her books as I've been able to find because I just love the places she has made for us. The narrator is perfect for Dreamhunter, with a voice that is dreamy and yet varied for the several main characters and beings. I'm not sure I'd like these audio books as well if I hadn't read them first, too late to tell... ;) I also found that if I was too tired out, I would join the dream and fall asleep listening and retrace back to where I'd nodded off. Listening while driving, no that would be dangerous. So, I'm recommending this book to you who have the time to soak up the world these two artists can bring you into for a little while, writer and narrator. Relax and enjoy.

Historia
Undine thinks she could be happy living in a world where Stephen is still alive. Back in the real world, Trout could be happy too - as long as he doesn't think about Undine's disappearance, or why her shadow appears in his photographs. Phoenix is now in town, a drifter, passing through with his conjuring tricks. But they can't keep drifitng forever, and one hot summer night their worlds collide.

Undine is A-Drift
Revisado: 11-07-09
I loved the story and the narrator. Undine wakes up in a world where her step-dad never died, with no sense of magic left and just rolls with it, but Jasper know's she's not his "Undine"... and she starts to wonder about the world she left behind. This is an epic conclusion to the trilogy and I found it gripping and satisfying through to the end. Enjoy... (you should have read "Undine" and "Breath" before this will make sense)

Historia
Twelve-year-old Eon has been training for years. His intensive study of Dragon Magic, based on Oriental astrology, involves two kinds of skills: sword-work and magical aptitude. He and his master hope that he will be chosen as a Dragoneye - an apprentice to one of the 12 energy dragons of good fortune.
But Eon has a dangerous secret. He is actually Eona, a 16-year-old girl who has been masquerading as a 12-year-old boy for the chance to become a Dragoneye.

Grating, mechanical, unable to suspend dis-belief.

Awesome topic and very much researched. But not well storied. I stuck it out to the end, but it's hard when you can see everything coming, but it takes forever to get there and often never does. Nancy Wu made it bearable.
