A New Look At A Classic Tale
Revisado: 12-09-20
A delightful take on a classic tale, told in an older English style, The Princess of Selgovae and the High King is an enjoyable listen. Set in a day when valor and moral character is highly prized and yet just as today, despots rule and cruelty is commonplace.
I enjoyed the connections to early Christianity, and the hope of divine influence and action.
Author, Bryce Gibby weaves this tale with a tremendous knowledge of the era, language and region while the reader, Michael Troughton gives a captivating performance with obvious mastery of the characters he portrays.
Together, an audible listen that entertains, elevates and enlightens. Well worth a credit!

Perfect ending to a perfect series!
Revisado: 01-02-16
Now-a-days it seems all the rage to write series where everything you have come to love or admire in the story is destroyed or everyone is killed off. Violence is over the top ridiculous and if it can go wrong it will. Not so with this series. It is perfectly written and executed. This final book ties neat bows on all of the twists and turns of all of the other books while having plenty of exciting happenings of its own. The ending is very satisfactory and you can come away feeling uplifted rather than beat up. Why continue to pay for books that make you miserable? This one will make you feel good knowing that evil doesn't conquer all. I'm so happy that Audible got this series!

Historia
Ernest Hemingway said, “All modern American literature comes from one book by Mark Twain called Huckleberry Finn". One hundred years after its author’s death, this classic remains remarkably modern and poignantly relevant. In this new edition, Elijah Wood reads Huck in a youthful voice that may be the closest interpretation to Twain’s original intent. His performance captures the excitement and confusion of adolescence and adventure.

Excellent!
Revisado: 07-04-15
This book is so well performed by Elijah Wood. Of course it's a classic and has been read by almost everyone in high school but it's worth a second time just to hear the portrayal by Elijah Wood. Highly recommended! You'll enjoy every minute of it!

Another disappointed fan...
Revisado: 03-01-13
I also was excited to get the sequel to Pathfinder, a book which I really enjoyed. This book, however, was a waste of my time. It's convoluted twists and turns, backward and forward through time were too complicated to keep track of, and the constant guessing/explanations of each alternate reality possibility were boring and wore on my patience. Where was the editor?
There is constant potty talk, which really gets old, I wonder if anyone thinks of potty issues as much as OSC. I agree with other readers that the constant bickering was a drag on the story as well. There was no charm in the characters this time, I lost my love for them. The ending just made me irritated and I’m not sure if I have a desire to read the next book or not. When you fall out of love, sometimes it’s best just to walk away.
