Interesting characters
Revisado: 06-07-21
Excellent reader, didn’t have a hard time with enunciation or noting emotions.
Great story, good character development and would look forward to, maybe not series but an epilogue book.

Historia
Terrorism, duty, and personal safety collide when Jake Pendleton, an investigator for the NTSB, is called to investigate an aircraft accident in Savannah, Georgia during the St. Patrick's Day celebration. The accident, which at first appears to be quite run-of-the-mill, turns out to be anything but. Since Jake is not willing to pretend there are no suspicious circumstances and more than the usual share of rather unlikely "coincidences," he sets off a veritable avalanche of secrets, violence and treachery.

Another mystery within a mystery
Revisado: 10-20-20
Brad Meltzer does it again. Sometimes daunted by length of his novels or reading them out of order, once I started Book of Lies, hard to turn it off. Great character development and interesting characters make the twists more believable and better at every turn. Good read.

Historia
It's 1949. When war veteran Aloysius Archer is released from Carderock Prison, he is sent to Poca City on parole with a short list of dos and a much longer list of don'ts: do report regularly to his parole officer, don't go to bars, certainly don't drink alcohol, do get a job - and don't ever associate with loose women. The small town quickly proves more complicated and dangerous than Archer's years serving in the war or his time in jail.

Historia
Last Train from Hiroshima offers listeners a stunning "you are there" time capsule, gracefully wrapped in elegant prose. Charles Pellegrino's scientific authority and close relationship with the A-bomb's survivors make his account the most gripping and authoritative ever written. At the narrative's core are eyewitness accounts of those who experienced the atomic explosions firsthand---the Japanese civilians on the ground and the American fliers in the air.

Really great perspective
Revisado: 08-14-19
Having grown up with the bomb and an exchange student living with us from that area and era, it is quite fascinating and macabre to hear the accounts of what happened in the ground zeros and follow different lives afterward even up to the twin towers. it's a shame the US made it illegal to document these for so many years.

Based on seven years of ground-breaking research and hundreds of interviews, I Thought It Was Just Me shines a long-overdue light on an important truth: Our imperfections are what connect us to each other and to our humanity. Our vulnerabilities are not weaknesses; they are powerful reminders to keep our hearts and minds open to the reality that we're all in this together.

Great analysis of Shame
Revisado: 02-28-19
I turned it off and left it a couple of times and mulled over it thinking it was a good candidate for exchange.
I finally realized that while it's author was addressing women and shame versus other emotions, it dawned on me that the book could open doors on relationships of all types.
great study and read it twice; very interesting and gave me insights to me, my friends and strangers on the street.
