CIA BAD- SENATE GOOD...
Revisado: 03-22-22
I couldn't help feeling sorry for MOST of the CIA people who had to carry out orders from HQ, in spite of their belief that the subject had no information to give. it goes to show how depraved all sides can become

Historia
A former US Navy intelligence officer, David Locke Hall was a federal prosecutor when a bizarre-sounding website, CRACK99, came to his attention. It looked like Craigslist on acid, but what it sold was anything but amateurish: thousands of high-tech software products used largely by the military, and for mere pennies on the dollar. Want to purchase satellite tracking software? No problem. Aerospace and aviation simulations? No problem. Communications systems designs? No problem.

sad story of power gone awry
Revisado: 03-14-22
The author tries (in vain) to make the reader identify with software companies as victims, and ignores the outrageous prices they extort from the US government. .. It's sad to learn the lengths said government then go to punish copyright infringements. Ass backwards.

Historia
Winner of the Nobel Prize in Physics and author of the classic The First Three Minutes, Weinberg shares his views on some of the most fundamental and fascinating aspects of physics and the universe. But he does not seclude science behind disciplinary walls or shy away from politics, taking on what he sees as the folly of manned spaceflight, the harms of inequality, and the importance of public goods. His point of view is rationalist, realist, reductionist, and devoutly secularist.

Extremely well written and very well read. Mister Weinberg succeeds in making the abstract counter intuitive ideas behind quantum physics a good deal clearer, at least to someone with my limited intelligence.

he was a flawed person, but less flawed then most.
Revisado: 12-28-21
He was an extraordinary man who lived through extraordinary times. He had his flaws, but he tried to live by a set of values that are much more in keeping with the concepts of "Truth" and "Honor" than most of "Western society". The world would be a better place with more people like him,and less like Mr. Trump.

Historia
Physicists have been exploring, debating, and questioning the general theory of relativity ever since Albert Einstein first presented itin 1915. Their work has uncovered a number of the universe's more surprising secrets, and many believe further wonders remain hidden within the theory's tangle of equations, waiting to be exposed. In this sweeping narrative of science and culture, astrophysicist Pedro Ferreira brings general relativity to life through the story of the brilliant physicists, mathematicians, and astronomers who have taken up its challenge.

A SMOOTH and ENGAGING narrative.

Follows Einstein's theory of GR through its ups and downs, with the cast of characters we've come to love or hate, and in the end, I think he comes down firmly on Al's side. Very enjoyable.

Historia
Four days before Christmas in 1943, a badly damaged American bomber struggled to fly over wartime Germany. At its controls was a 21-year-old pilot. Half his crew lay wounded or dead. It was their first mission. Suddenly a sleek, dark shape pulled up on the bomber’s tail - a German Messerschmitt fighter. Worse, the German pilot was an ace, a man able to destroy the American bomber with the squeeze of a trigger.
