Historia
Listening to the Bible will change the way you understand scripture. The stories and poems and instructions comes in through the ears and consume your whole being as God's word becomes part of a living experience. The Common English Bible is not simply a revision or update of an existing translation. It is a bold new translation designed to meet the needs of Christians as they work to build a strong and meaningful relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Who is it for?

Historia
Embrace the serenity of off-grid living with these essential skills and strategies for self-reliant, secure, and sustainable living. With the rise in government unreliability, international conflicts, and increasing natural and environmental disasters, the sense of safety and security offered by cities appears to be diminishing. All these have also created a growing demand and a dwindling supply of goods, especially food and medicine necessary for survival.

Two confessions: I know little about off-grid living and I have not finished the book yet, but so far I am pleased. It's well written, with a good table of contents making it useful as a reference book, rather than one you would read cover to cover. I expect I will return to it often as topics occur to me.
In short, I recommend the book to anyone interested in s basic primer on off-grid living.

Historia
The Common English Bible is not simply a revision or update of an existing translation. It is a bold new translation designed to meet the needs of Christians as they work to build a strong and meaningful relationship with God through Jesus Christ. A key goal of the translation team was to make the Bible accessible to a broad range of people; it’s written at a comfortable level for over half of all English speakers.

Historia
Harry Potter has never even heard of Hogwarts when the letters start dropping on the doormat at number four, Privet Drive. Addressed in green ink on yellowish parchment with a purple seal, they are swiftly confiscated by his grisly aunt and uncle. Then, on Harry's eleventh birthday, a great beetle-eyed giant of a man called Rubeus Hagrid bursts in with some astonishing news: Harry Potter is a wizard, and he has a place at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. An incredible adventure is about to begin!

inconsistent volume

The reader frequently drops to a near whisper. This is quite annoying to listen while driving.

Historia
From being the home of some of the first people in America to being the birthplace of the United States, Virginia has had an incredibly rich and interesting history even before its inauguration as a state. Virginia was once the most populous and affluent state in the country and the birthplace of many of the most important figures in early United States’ history. Yet, despite Virginia’s successes and great heritage, it has, for much of history, been a divided state that has found itself debating even the most basic rights and issues.

Informative and entertaining overview
Revisado: 04-22-22
As a native of the Commonwealth, I enjoyed listening to this brief but interesting discussion of Virginia's history. Despite the paucity of information, the author does a good job of honoring Native America history. The book also offers a balanced treatment of slavery as a primary issue behind the Civil War. Well-done!
