Historia
To serial slayer Andrew Compton, murder is an art, the most intimate art. After feigning his own death to escape from prison, Compton makes his way to the United States with the sole ambition of bringing his “art” to new heights. Tortured by his own perverse desires, and drawn to possess and destroy young boys, Compton inadvertently joins forces with Jay Byrne, a dissolute playboy who has pushed his “art” to limits even Compton hadn’t previously imagined.

Historia
Hillbilly Elegy is a passionate and personal analysis of a culture in crisis - that of white working-class Americans. The decline of this group, a demographic of our country that has been slowly disintegrating over 40 years, has been reported on with growing frequency and alarm but has never before been written about as searingly from the inside. J. D. Vance tells the true story of what a social, regional, and class decline feels like when you were born with it hung around your neck.

Intro To Vice President Vance
Revisado: 07-23-24
He overcame so much! This inspiring story is about one man's indomitable will to succeed against all odds. To be a Vice Presidential candidate on the 'sunny side' of 40 is a uniquely American story.

Great Spy Story
Revisado: 04-06-24
Mr. Mayne has written another winner—enough intrigue and dirty deeds to go around. Narration is top notch too. Is it as good as the series revolving around the exploits of my favorite Computational Biologist? Sorry Mr. Cray my loyalty does not waver; Theo Cray has no equal, but this book comes very, very close.

This Has To Stop!
Revisado: 01-22-23
Does Mr. Connelly expect me to PAY to listen to his political diatribe masked as a work of fiction..…really! Sadly, he is but one amongst several authors represented on Audible that have styled themselves as omnificent political scholars qualified to denigrate views held by their readership. Surely the editorial board at Audible is aware of Mr. Connelly's specious political rant in this novel. Would the editorial board have given him a pass if his offensive comments were directed to the person or books written by a former first lady?
As J.K. Rowling opined "if you do not like my books; just don't read them " Fair enough, but Audible bears some responsibility to forewarn their listeners about defamatory political content directed toward former President Trump. My $9.97 was paid to enjoy the work of a first-rate fiction writer, not a third-rate political pundit.

Historia
A classic work of historical fiction from the author of Rebecca and The Birds. Honor Harris is only 18 when she first meets Richard Grenvile, proud, reckless - and utterly captivating. But following a riding accident, Honor must reconcile herself to a life alone. As the English Civil War is waged across the country, Richard rises through the ranks of the army, marries and makes enemies, and Honor remains true to him. Decades later, an undaunted Sir Richard, now a general serving King Charles I, finds her.

First-rate horror audiobook set in the wild, wild west. The narrator was the perfect match for this novel, and I hope he will continue to scare me awake in book 2. The sound effects deserve an honorable mention as well.

Historia
Arlen Wagner has seen it in men before: a trace of smoke in their eyes that promises imminent death. He is never wrong. When Arlen awakens on a train one hot Florida night and sees death's telltale sign in the eyes of his fellow passengers, he tries to warn them. Only 19-year-old Paul Brickhill believes him, and the two abandon the train, hoping to escape certain death. They continue south, but soon are stranded at the Cypress House—an isolated Gulf Coast boarding house run by the beautiful Rebecca Cady—directly in the path of an approaching hurricane.
