Historia
I gasp as my body curls toward Brennus like a flower to the sun, for the pleasure of it. He holds me close to him. His nose grazes the length of my neck. He breathes me in. I feel the roar and rush of my heartbeat. I'm his toy; his energy streams into me. He winds the invisible key in my back, and the euphoria ratchets and coils inside of me.

Voice changed for all characters
Revisado: 01-04-24
I love these books, like repeat reader for this series..but I absolutely hate the way this one is read, like everyone is angry or extremely urgent..Brennus, Finn, Zephyr and Reeds voices are all awful and read in the same urgent tone/yelling tone..love the book but not the narration on this one

Scared me!! Chill bumps x 1000
Revisado: 07-08-23
Spooky, chill bump inducing, demonic, it did lack depth in some places but overall probably the spookiest story I’ve ever listened to! Had to listen during the day only lol

Historia
As the chief forensic anthropologist for the FBI’s Chicago field office, Christine Prusik has worked her fair share of bizarre cases. Yet this one trumps them all: a serial killer is strangling young women and dumping their bodies in the steep, forested ravines of southern Indiana. With each victim, the killer leaves a calling card: a stone figurine carved like the spirit stones found among the native tribes of Papua New Guinea—the same tribes Prusik worked with a decade earlier while doing field research.

Intriguing mystery
Revisado: 02-14-23
Great book, it kept me interested from the start. Mystery, little romance, little gore, emotional. Read or listen, you won’t be disappointed.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

I’ve read better..meh
Revisado: 07-04-22
I’ve read better books. I picked this one because of the movie coming out..I’m not sure that I want to see it now lol. I am not sure how this got picked for a movie, honestly.
This book was hard to get through, interesting in some parts, very scientific marsh information, but geographically incorrect. Dull characters, drawn out descriptions & the love story parts were just plain irritating. Anticlimactic overall. I wouldn’t read again. I was not impressed. Don’t waste your credit.

Best book series in the world
Revisado: 09-16-21
I can listen to Jim Dale tell these stories over and over. Excellent character voices and emotions. The Harry Potter series will forever be the best books, in my opinion. J.K. Rowling shells out an exciting blend of action, fantasy, horror, mystery, love, anger, and sadness..just perfect story telling that transports you to another world.
