useful but nothing new

it's a great refresher book for those that need a quick reminder on healthy morning routines, however I feel that if you have already have the discipline to read and finish this book you already know most of the information presented in it and in some way practice these actions.

Historia
For four generations men have been subjected to some pretty damning accusations. They're the oppressors of women. Their misogyny is the sole cause of the much-hated wage gap. They are guilty of the original sins of privilege and institutional sexism. And this says nothing about the rank mockery and, often times, outright hatred men receive in the media, government, and our schools. But perhaps the most damning accusation of them all is that men are no longer needed. That they are now somehow obsolete.

mediocre at best.
Revisado: 03-04-24
This book does introduce some unique thoughts on a world that doesn't support men. however, much of it was Ranting emotional and spends to much time repeating meaningless insults to both men and women instead of elaborating more details about the good ideas or facts surrounding the consequences we face together if men are not respected and included in this world. Not a bad book, buy it on sale or used.

Revisado: 02-21-22
Only because it's Jordan Peterson I give this a 3. Not as good as the first book. Heavily Christian Based logic and Reasoning. References to many pop culture trends some readers aren't familiar with. The performance was bland he should hire voice actors. It's OK, only because he is who he is.

Audible’s Best Science Offering, A Gem
- De MikeB en 12-08-18
Enjoyable but predictable conclusion.
Revisado: 06-19-21
The title had me to believe that our scientific community had discovered a theory of Everything, it had me excited to hear the hypothesis. But about halfway through book I realized this book is an explanation on why they DO NOT have a theory of Everything. I thought I would be disappointed but the book was still enjoyable. There is just too many unknown variables in the universe and we still haven't even found dark matter, so we won't have a theory of everything anytime soon.

Complicated but good information on GENETIC tests
Revisado: 04-09-20
This book takes a different look at human history through the eyes of genetic test and DNA. There is some good information here that reveals a lot of hidden secrets on the different SPECIES within the human race. This book challenges the old reputation that everyone came from AFRICA and presents new studies that may reveal this not to be a true theory. This book also challenges and Whistleblows on the Companies that profit from false ANCESTRY DNA TEST. The speaker was bland and mostly monotone but you could tell he was an expert in his field. Overall it was a good book.

Historia
From the elections of Barack Obama and Donald Trump to the tragic events of Ferguson and Charlottesville, the subject of race has come to the forefront of American consciousness. Legendary satirist D. L. Hughley offers his own cutting observations on this contentious issue that continues to traumatize the nation, a wound made more painful by the ongoing comments and actions of the 45th president. Hughley uses humor to draw attention to injustice, sardonically offering advice on a number of lessons, like "How to make cops feel more comfortable while they're handcuffing you".

ITS OK! short and simple book, not very funny tho
Revisado: 01-02-20
I dont mean to be negative, but buy this book only if it's on sale. DL is probably one of the most vocal African Americans involved in the current political topics of today. His insights have enlightened many African Americans on view points that we never thought of before and he is well respected in the community, there is no doubt in his intentions. However, this book is a comedy book and with that there are not many facts that are being quoted here and this is DEFINITELY not a serious book on how NOT to get shot. Being a short book DL wastes no time getting to the jokes. problem is.... they are dry. I mean, I chuckled a few times but for the most part I believe this book was his attempt to simply VENT about recent current events. most of the thing that he says are OBVIOUS, but his SARCASM doesn't land how it should. it appears that his plan was to actually PISS OFF WHITE PEOPLE, and I think he succeeded in that. The only thing this book does well is insult the very intellect of the white race. Many of their theories and advice to the rest of the world is so crooked and almost everyone know it but them. This book IS NOT for blacks as you may think, this book is better used to educate white people on the flaws of their logic. Otherwise the only GREAT thing about the book is that DL himself reads it, which is enjoyable in itself. if it's on sale, grab a copy it's short enough to enjoy in one day and there are a few laughs here and there. White people need it more but for what it's worth the book is OK...
PS: MESSAGE TO DL HUGHLEY... your "NOTES FROM THE G.E.D. SECTION" deserves a book on it's own. If you just TRANSCRIBE your notes into a book with research facts. I'd be glad to buy them that section of your show is the most entertaining and enlightening information throughout the BLACK COMMUNITY hands down.

A fresh take on ancient knowledge!
Revisado: 11-11-19
Initially I believed this would simply be another book filled with incomplete concepts and ideas. The ones that sell false dreams. interesting enough not only did this book explain ancient concepts through a more in depth and thorough breakdown, it also managed to explain various complicated ideas and concepts simple enough that an average person could understand it. The thoughts an ideas are still advanced but well explained. This is complimented by the stories and experiences of students which culminates on something fresh and new in the world of New Aged Thought and Wisdoms. WELL DONE!
