Dr Chervinsky is a clear and entertaining writer and reader of this history of presidential cabinets. It is a wide scope across over two hundred years of US presidents and organized into compelling chapters by topics about 30 minutes each.
The reviews accusing the author of bipartisanship are reflections of thin-skinned partisans balking at historical facts that contradict their world view. Dr Chervinsky is a delightful read and reader. Looking forward to her next book.

This was a fun summer read. It is mainly about the plot and technical details of what it would take for someone to survive stranded on Mars. It got a little too detailed at times but overall I enjoyed it.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Nerdist Way to be better than the print version?

Yes. Definitely the audio version read by Chris Hardwick is great. The book has some material that may appeal to some readers visually so they should consider getting both audio and print/electronic versions.

What did you like best about this story?

This is a self-help book but quite unlike any other out there. It speaks to wide specific audience of people with nerd tendencies (basically anyone with a deep interest and knowledge of subjects other than sports alone) and teaches or reminds that audience how to capitalize on what they are great at and interested in in life. But it is also a personal story of how the author Chris Hardwick, nerdy socially awkward lover of comedy, science, sci-fi, music, culture, and video games, went from panic-attacked padawan to successful, fit, and comfortable-in-his-own skin Jedi of nerd culture.

What about Chris Hardwick’s performance did you like?

It's a personal story at times which is great to hear from the author himself. It's also very funny and Chris Hardwick knows how to tell his own jokes.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

What did you love best about Risotto with Nettles?

A very fine memoir about one of the most important Italian food writers. Perfect balance of life stories, food stories and recipes.

What other book might you compare Risotto with Nettles to and why?

If you liked My Life in France by Julia Child you may enjoy this book very much.

Which character – as performed by Rula Lenska – was your favorite?

The reader was excellent. I had to remind myself time and again that it was not Ms. del Conte reading the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not a funny book but it clearly has sense of humor. Ms. del Conte recounts a joke about a Genovese widow that made me laugh out loud.
