Historia
The ancient Ojibwe healer Henry Meloux has had a vision of his death. As he walks the Northwoods in solitude, he tries to prepare himself peacefully for the end of his long life. But peace is destined to elude him as hunters fill the woods seeking a woman named Dolores Morriseau, a stranger who had come to the healer for shelter and the gift of his wisdom. Meloux guides this stranger and his great niece, Cork O'Connor's wife, to safety deep into the Boundary Waters, his home for more than a century.

Can Steven get a "big boy" voice please?
Revisado: 10-18-24
I have enjoyed every book in this series and this series, but it is getting a bit repetitive. I found this story boring and annoying at times. Steven has had the same child's voice since he was 5 in book one. He is supposed to be a grown man, but he and little Wabu sound the same age. I enjoyed this as a relaxing listen before bed, but I am hoping for changes in Book 20.

Historia
The Yellow House delves into the passion and politics of Northern Ireland at the beginning of the 20th century. Eileen O'Neill's family is torn apart by religious intolerance and secrets from the past. Determined to reclaim her ancestral home and reunite her family, Eileen begins working at the local mill, saving her money and holding fast to her dream. As war is declared on a local and global scale, Eileen cannot separate the politics from the very personal impact the conflict has had on her own life.

Hard to finish
Revisado: 03-11-24
The main character is such a horrible person, I couldn't feel one bit of hope for her. I would have liked to see her just homeless and destitute with the Yellow House in a pile of rubble after the way she treats other people. This book doesn't have one likable character.

Waited too long to be this bored
Revisado: 12-19-21
Like all the Outlander fans, I waited far too long for this and was really expecting something spectacular. I re-read all the novels again in anticipation and now I regret spending so many hours listening to Go Tell the Bees... It is literally hours and hours of rehashing with a few new stories that felt confusing with lose ends which makes me think that if I have to wait 10 more years to find out what happens I may literally be gone as well,

Historia
Diana Gabaldon's fans will be delighted to find Jamie and Claire as spirited and endearing as ever in this fourth installment of this magnificent saga. Twice Claire has used an ancient stone circle to travel back to the 18th century. The first time she found love with a Scottish warrior but had to return to the 1940s to save their unborn child. The second time she reunited with her lost love but had to leave behind the daughter that he would never see. Now Brianna, from her 1960s vantage point, has found a disturbing obituary and will risk everything in an attempt to change history.

Gooseflesh, gooseflesh, gooseflesh
Revisado: 03-17-19
I really loved the first two books in the series, but this was a little too much. I got so tired of hearing about Claire's "gooseflesh" and the silly tantrums they all throw. I always remember one of my writing professors in college telling us to edit and not to fall in love with your words. This book should have been half its size and a lot less wasted fluff of words.
