Historia
This book is an exploration of the wisdom in the Viking Age poem "Havamal", specifically as it relates to the average person who isn't a scholar of Old Norse, or even an enthusiast of Viking culture. This book is for the layman, the average person who simply wants to improve their life using proven advice. The poem "Havamal" is earthy, cynical, stoic, and grim in its depiction of human life. Havamal means “The Words of the High One”. The poem's speaker is none other than Odin, King of the Gods, who has traveled the many worlds seeking power and suffered greatly in his quest.

It was awesome. All I can say is give it a try.
Revisado: 10-26-23
I have been amazed at how relevant all the words from the High One are and how it translates to today's world. The author does a great job in breaking it down or just diving just deep enough to give you a better understanding but not too deep to sound like a lecture. All in all, it was great. I am going to have my 4 sons listen to this book or buy the actual book for them to read.

Deep down here by the dark water lived old Gollum, a small slimy creature. I don’t know where he came from, nor who or what he was. He was Gollum—as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face. He had a little boat, and he rowed about quite quietly on the lake; for lake it was, wide and deep and deadly cold.

It was absolutely wonderful
Revisado: 01-06-23
My father read this to me when I was a child I'm a truck driver by trade so I don't do a whole lot of reading so audible is amazing and I enjoyed it just as much as when my father read it to me as a boy. I hope to read it to my children soon.

Seeing how it doesn’t have a set doctrine or dogma, there is no way to best practice Norse paganism. There is also no scripture or a “holy book”, which makes it ideal for people who wish to feel free and authentic to themselves while practicing spirituality. The way Norse paganism is practiced vastly varies from region to region, and there is no “correct” way to practice it. However, it still involves adhering to some tenets, customs, and beliefs. This book offers a comprehensive exploration of modern Norse paganism.

Before he was a god.... Odin was a man. Desperate for vengeance. A frost giant murdered his father. Odin cannot let this stand. Guided by his blood-brother Loki, Odin ventures into poison mists. Mists that steal souls. Mists that, men say, only a fool would enter. But what if revenge is only the beginning? His quest leads him to a chance at immortality. But what price will he finally pay? You’ll love this grim box set because it retells classic Norse myths in a whole new way. Get it now.

Historia
Asatru has been interpreted in many different ways. Yet the freedom and promise we caught a glimpse of when we found Asatru seems to have eluded us. This book is a clear outline of how we may use our faith to surmount the obstacles of not only our society but the hindrances within ourselves as well. The complications in our lives which may have drawn us to Asatru sometimes require a little more work on our part. But how? I believe this book will help those folk who are struggling to implement this faith in their life.
