You can pretty much read this at double or triple speed and skip the pages and pages of filler. Most of the first half is just blah blah blah about really boring stuff.

I found almost nothing worthwhile besides the few pages that describe his little boy's experience with heaven.

I'm pretty cynical, but I figured 'why would I not want this to be true?' With that mindset, it's encouraging, and inspiring to hear of the other side of life. I know there are reasons you might not think it's true, but it doesn't contradict any scriptures, and so set aside your list of reasons to hate on this, and take a listen and be encouraged. I found my prayer life totally changed by this.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Great material. Very practical, and very biblical. Appreciate him identifying and calling out false gospels for what they are - lies.

What did you like best about this story?

Achievable tasks and disciplines to build into to being intentional about discipling our children.

What three words best describe Tad Thompson???s performance?

normal, flat, some missteps

Any additional comments?

Great book, definitely worth a listen, and it encouraged me.

Take some pieces with a grain of salt - 'if you don't take your kids to church every Sunday no matter what, they'll percieve that Jesus is not that important to you'
I'm not sure that's the case. I understand the sentiment, but we cannot be that legalistic about our faith. And we cannot equate a church building/event with how much we love Jesus. We should love other people always, in all ways, THEN our kids will know we love Jesus, not because we showed up to a building every week, even when they were sick. That sounds awful.

The reading is ok, there are many points where the rhythm is interrupted, or words are stumbled over that should have been edited or over-dubbed, they are distracting. Also, the EQ is a bit too bassy, took some adjustments to make it clear in my car.
