Historia
In Indistractable, Eyal reveals the hidden psychology driving us to distraction. He describes why solving the problem is not as simple as swearing off our devices: Abstinence is impractical and often makes us want more. Eyal lays bare the secret of finally doing what you say you will do with a four-step, research-backed model. Indistractable reveals the key to getting the best out of technology, without letting it get the best of us.

Paradigm shifting and life changing
Revisado: 07-28-20
Every week my phone reports my “screen time usage”. Not surprisingly, during the current global pandemic, it continues to increase without benefiting my life.
It’s easy for me to justify my screen time. I am furloughed from my job and already decluttered my house 3 months ago!
I am becoming aware that my emotional well-being and productivity are suffering but I am constantly feeling the tug to dive into all the fun and distraction the phone offers. Oh and there are are lots of other justifications too! I can read a book, take a course, analyze my sleep patterns, watch cute cat videos...
And then I found Indistractable! This book is full of all the things I love in a good self improvement book: science, relatable stories, usable tips, humor and summaries. Nir’s narration is fantastic too. He kept me fully engaged and inspired me to begin making some changes.

The greatest athletic performances spring from the mind, not the body. Elite athletes have known this for decades, and now science is learning why it's true. In his fascinating new book, How Bad Do You Want It?, coach Matt Fitzgerald examines more than a dozen pivotal races to discover the surprising ways elite athletes strengthen their mental toughness.

Thrilling and inspirational!
Revisado: 02-14-17
Matt Fitzgerald creates an exciting book filled with amazing physical achievements and thought provoking science.
It would make an interesting read for anyone curious about psychology, sports or history but it is equally engaging for the aspiring athlete and casual exerciser alike.
As a someone who identifies more with coming in last than in winning a race, I found this book extremely motivating. Matt had me on the edge of my seat with his recounting of race events. I was also constantly bookmarking passages for future reference.
Thanks Matt for a fun, inspirational read!

Historia
Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King Jr., Steve Jobs, and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why.
