Book 3 was the perfect addition to Willow Creek. A seamless blend of spicy small-town romance, holiday vibes, and a little suspense. Emma and Trevor were also perfect. The way they both wanted what they thought they couldn't have/didn't deserve.. Emma was hiding from a secret past that was catching up to her, and Trevor (her best friend's brother) took it upon himself to invade her space and protect her. The tension is high between the two, knowing the other was harboring feelings for themselves that they were trying to avoid. They agree to make no promises, so there aren't any expectations, but that's pretty unavoidable - especially after what they go through together. Emma is funny and sassy and loves to get under Trevor's skin, but she's also guarded and convinced the only way to keep the people she cares about safe is to keep them at arms length. Trevor is determined to show her that they deserve to be happy together and she can let him all the way in. By the end, as usual with Andrea's books, all of the emotions are so worth it. The audio made it all feel so much more real.

Christian was the perfect addition. I love how opposite he is from Stella in so many ways, but he can't help but to fall for her. I loved this book. I loved that both main characters had things they needed to work through and didn't just happily fall into place without any resistance from who they are. But also... we love a possessive mmc & what's Christian's is definitely just Christian's.

I feel like these books can't get any better... and then they do. I absolutely loved this book. Julian and Yasmin were so easy to love, even when they wanted to hate each other. I don't think I'd ever be disappointed reading a book Emily wrote. This series really has been written so well.

Okay... so the female villain had me sold immediately. I'm kind of obsessed with this series. I loved the way Nick found parts of himself in Brayden. I loved Evelina. There was so much to get beneath the surface. A lot of it was clearly written, but there was so much between the lines. The way Emily writes is so beautiful. The way she brings justice to the "villain's" stories is amazing.

I know these aren't retellings. And it's the Cillian story. But I love the lion king and wasn't sure i was going to like this book, but I'm glad I chose to listen to it anyway. The scared prince is more than anything I could have imagined. This was so perfect!

Heartbreaking and beautiful

A lot of hard topics were beautifully written into this book. I read a lot of mixed reviews, and I get why some people didn't like this book, especially the ending. But I thought it was written perfectly. I've seen a lot of these issues firsthand and it hurts. This book hurt. It felt so real. My heart will probably hurt every time I think of Blue. While it was easy to see Piper as weak or a pushover, I think the point was really that she didn't want to let go of her soulmate and held onto hope that he'd get better for her. It's hard to love people that are mentally struggling. It's hard to love an addict. And it's hard to draw lines with those people. Blue was Piper's first love and all she wanted was him and to be a family. So many different parts of this book broke my heart. I think the ending was meant to put a few of those pieces back together and show that there's a way through it.

My favorite "character" is still Acorn. 🖤

UM. WHAT!? I absolutely loved this book. Everything about it. But why did it have to end that way?? I can't wait for the next book. From beginning to end, I didn't want to stop listening. I've possibly fallen in love with Kingfisher, and I can't wait to see what's in store for Saeris.

I'm pretty sure these books get even cuter and funnier with each one. I love listening to a book that can make me laugh. Bash cracks me up. And his Grandma, who doesn't pop up much, may be my favorite side character. It's the ...OH for me 🤣 she reminded me of my grandma. I also love this series because I grew up in Michigan, and even though I didn't love it there, the book brought back some pretty good memories. Especially from college. But anyway, Bash and Ari struggled with being young and wanting to accomplish things vs being all in. Their story was more than I expected it to be and I adore them. I look forward to what's next for the Crane Hockey boys.

This book was far cuter than it should have been. 🖤 I have such a soft spot for a grumpy man that doesn't outwardly like very many people that has a soft spot for the girl he loathes. When they go through the transition and he's borderline obsessed with her, that's when you know it was written properly. I didn't think I'd enjoy their story as much as book 2, but it surpassed it! The beast and his princess. I loved, so much, that they had to learn how to be vulnerable to move forward after the cards they had precision previously been handed in life.. instead of just leaving their baggage behind, they figured out how to unpack it together. It was beautifully written and narrated.

I knew I was going to love Beckett when we got his story. It took a little time for him to break down his wife's walls and I knew he wasn't going to be ready to let her go when their arrangement ended. I loved their story and how different it felt. This book had me laughing pretty often and it was narrated as perfectly as the first book.
