Historia
In 1998 an Alku, Minnesota, family of five was brutally murdered in their sleep. The event shook the insulated community but, without any solid leads, was relegated to the cold case files, where it moldered for twenty-five years. Until today. Agent Harry Steinbeck hoped never to return to the northland, a place that holds terrible memories of his sister’s abduction. But when a recent homicide is connected to Alku’s unsolved mass murder, he and cold case agent Evangeline Reed have no choice but to investigate.

Struggled But Glad I Did
Revisado: 04-05-25
overall, it was a wonderful book. A great sequel. I would give 5 stars but i think the casting was off.
I did struggle in the beginning. I had a really hard time, matching the voice of the narrator, to no fault of his own with the character of Harry. Maybe it's me, but it just didn't match and it took me at least six chapters before I started to really forget.
I also found it a little hard to follow. Maybe that was because of my issue with the voice of Harry (who is the main character in this sequel) however, once I did, it was a great story. I'm leaving this review so that you get past the voice and the first couple of chapters because you will be happy you did!
The plot twists and the story itself is so unique. I am so happy I stayed with it. Hope you will too!

Great Series Part 2
Revisado: 02-09-25
I have become a big fan of Geneva Rose, I'm very happy and want to see more of this character. I predict we're going to have a third one because at the end there's a little bit of a romantic cliffhanger! Looking forward to it and was a wonderful read!

Their little angel is missing, last seen on her pink bicycle, heading toward the dark woods on Black Heart Lane. Twist & Turns Galore
Revisado: 12-11-24
this author knocked it out of the park again! Not only is it an amazing read, but it gets you right off the bat!
Not to mention these two narrators are the best narrators. I've listened to several things to the point if they are narrating something. I'm probably gonna go read it because they're that good! Well done great lesson worth your time! Highly recommended!

It’s the opening night of The Manor, the newest and hottest luxury resort, and no expense, small or large, has been spared. The infinity pool sparkles; the “Manor Mule” cocktail (grapefruit, ginger, vodka, and a dash of CBD oil) is being poured with a heavy hand. Everyone is wearing linen.

Great Story Amazing Production
Revisado: 05-11-24
I was intrigued when one of the reviewers mentioned it was a somewhat version of beauty and the beast and that is correct. However, it definitely has its own twist and turns and is more mature. I fell in love with the characters within minutes and the story! I love the production value of this book. Definitely a different way of losteningy and reminds me of maybe the old days when families would sit around the radio and listen to stories. This is such an amazing opportunity for something like this to continue and get our kids and ourselves off computers and back to listening to great stories. This is absolutely wonderful.

Historia
A night spent sleeping on dirt and leaves is not how Claire Matchett expected to spend her vacation. She thought this would be a break. A week of hiking and hot tubs with two other couple friends. Then Claire’s minivan breaks down on a lonely dirt road. With no cell reception, the group has no choice but to hike the rest of the way to their hotel. But it turns out the woods aren’t as easy to navigate as they thought. Hours later, they are lost. Hopelessly lost. And as they navigate deeper into the woods, the members of their party are struck down mysteriously one by one.

Twists Turns. On the Edge of My Seat
Revisado: 04-30-24
this book definitely took you on a roller coaster ride and in true roller coaster fashion it starts off the gate kind of slow. However, before long, you cannot stop listening.
Slight spoiler alert.
I hated the ending. I hated it. I hated it. I hated it. I am someone who likes things wrapped up in a bow lol although I have to be honest, I literally couldn't stop listening, even until the very, very end.
