Historia
At a moonlit Indian ruin where "thieves of time" ravage sacred ground in the name of profit, a noted anthropologist vanishes while on the verge of making a startling, history-altering discovery. Amid stolen goods and desecrated bones, two corpses are discovered, shot by bullets fitting the gun of the missing scientist. There are modern mysteries buried in despoiled ancient places, and Navajo Tribal Policemen Leaphorn and Chee must plunge into the past to unearth an astonishing truth and a cold-hearted killer.

Good as usual but muffled
Revisado: 10-19-24
I would like to read the book instead of hearing it here as the narration was terribly muffled.

Insight to sourdough
Revisado: 05-14-24
This is a fun book to listen to if you like the technical and joyous aspects of baking sourdough bread. The author is the reader and the baker and will teach a thing or two!

Revisado: 08-21-23
Ann Patchett and Meryl Streep will transport you to a somewhat misspent youth, then on to a wonderful life, family, and a cherry orchard. I can so relate to my own youth and lovely life. Both author and narrator are top drawer.

Historia
On his last combat deployment, Lt. Cmdr. James Reece's entire team was killed in an ambush that also claimed the lives of the aircrew sent in to rescue them. But when those dearest to him are murdered on the day of his homecoming, Reece discovers that this was not an act of war by a foreign enemy but a conspiracy that runs to the highest levels of government. Now, with no family and free from the military's command structure, Reece applies the lessons that he's learned in over a decade of constant warfare toward revenge.

A wanted a thriller, not a political crybaby
Revisado: 07-19-23
If you want to escape the news and have a good action thriller, you might need to take a chill pill. I have worked with Seal's before and I don't remember them complaiing so much or pointing fingers. This is the type of person who would want to throw an election. Not sure I can finish this book if his whining over liberals in government is stronger than his outrage about his family being murdered.

Sound advice for good health habits
Revisado: 05-28-23
No Keto, No Vegan. No Body Building. Just sound direction for everybody. Attia said as a doctor, there are thing you prefer your patients do before you have to treat them (somewhat unsucessfully) with medication. Then the Author turns to a more personal mental ailment and readers may recognize themselves or a loved one dealing with the aftermath of many little traumas or a big trauma. And the narration for the author is wonderful.

Revisado: 06-08-20
I am not even adequate to review the quality of this book. The story, the daily details, the unfolding of the heart of the matter, the narrator. I miss the characters and don't think I will find another story as good.

Too sappy, too much false history
Revisado: 01-10-19
I think the premise of the story could have been wonderful if it had been more plausible. The subjects are too sensitive to make a silly story over.
