The Aftermath of a stunning victory—especially an unexpected, complete, and final victory—should be high-fives all around, listening to politicians give boring congratulatory speeches, and a well-deserved rest for the Merry Band of Pirates. Yes, the galaxy is still a freakin' mess, but that is nothing new, and for a change, that can be someone else's problem. Until, you know, something really bad happens, and only the Pirates can deal with the problem... Or not.

Thought book 16 of Ex Force was going to be the final installment. The ending obviously says otherwise. it has been an excellent and very entertaining run but it is time for Joe, Skippy and the Merry Band of Pirates to hang up thoer space wings and enjoy retirement.

Scott hits this one out of the park! He takes what is basically an introductory novel and manages to create an exciting page-turner! Can't wait for book 2 and to see what lies ahead for the crew of the Crypt! This series also serves to fleshout some of the galactic history leading into his GFL series. lovers of sci-fi, horror and even military fiction will enjoy the Crypt. Ray Porter does an excellent job reading the book. one small suggestion would be for him to work closer with Scott on some of the pronunciations to maintain consistency with previous GFL-era audiobooks.

RC Bray's great narration is waisted on this story. Part 1 was good and fairly well written. Part 2 however.... Stars Wars light without any character development and a disjointed story. Hard to follow. would not recommend.

sigler hits it out of the park with this science-based horror book! while written well pre-pandemic he nails the feel. cirrent or at least plausible tech, a scientist with a god complex and end of your seat action. great read!
