Unrealistic and dry
Revisado: 10-07-24
I've loved Anna Stuart in the past, but this one was just too much for me. I'd love it if more women had been part of WW2 history, but in this series she's inserted women into places they just realistically wouldn't (and couldn't, as the case was in this novel) have been. You can't smash 21st century women into a 20th century story and expect it to be believable, or even capture people's attention without constant eyerolling. I had to return this book just under halfway through...it was just getting ridiculous and we hadn't even gotten to the Elodie portion yet. I couldn't hang on for it.

Ugh

This is the last book I’m going to read by this author. The narrator’s voice got so whiny at points, it didn’t help the poorly crafted story
