Historia
Alan Blinder, one of the world's most influential economists and one of the field's best writers, draws on his deep firsthand experience to provide an authoritative account of sixty years of monetary and fiscal policy in the United States. Spanning twelve presidents, from John F. Kennedy to Joe Biden, and eight Federal Reserve chairs, from William McChesney Martin to Jerome Powell, this is an insider's story of macroeconomic policy that hasn't been told before—one that is a pleasure to listen to, and as interesting as it is important.

A lot of good information but very basis to Democratic Party
Revisado: 02-09-24
Good information and interesting to learn more of this history. I figured something was up when in the intro his says he is a democratic almost as a disclaimer. I understand politics needs to play a role as they do impact fiscal policy but give the facts and save the opinion biased narrative. Only other complaint is that they didn’t have an accompany PDF for the charts that he wrote of. Not likely I book I would recommend and that is too bad.

Historia
In the beginning was the loan, and the loan carried interest. For at least five millennia people have been borrowing and lending at interest. Yet as capitalism became established from the late Middle Ages onwards, denunciations of interest were tempered because interest was a necessary reward for lenders to part with their capital. And interest performs many other vital functions: it encourages people to save; enables them to place a value on precious assets, such as houses and all manner of financial securities; and allows us to price risk.

For generations, everything has been getting faster, better, and cheaper. The bestselling fitness book for men who want to gain 25-35 pounds of lean muscle and lose as much fat or more in just 3-5 hours per week—and without giving up delicious foods or doing grueling workouts. Is Bigger Leaner Stronger a body building book that can help you pack on brain-shrinking amounts of muscle in 30 days flat? No. Is it a fitness nutrition book full of dubious diet and exercise “hacks” and “shortcuts” for melting belly fat faster than a roided hornet? Absolutely not.

Great book of fitness
Revisado: 08-24-18
This was a well written book. I typically don’t like fitness books because they are based on opinions of the writer and aren’t supported with research. This book provided great support with research on each of his theories. Although you can argue on some points, overall it is compelling and supported. Excellent read and I plan to apply his theory in my life.

It came without warning, in the middle of a playoff game, with millions of people watching. And it has never gone away.
