Historia
At no more significant time in history are we more aware of the trauma, suffering, and shitty pain people desperately try to work with. We hear the phrase, "Everyone is walking under a cloud—so be kind." This is true, and many are being kind. Yet many more are losing their shit like never before. We see it on social media, the news, and everywhere, watching meltdown after meltdown.

Candid, Insightful and very, very Engaging!
Revisado: 01-15-24
The author shares an incredible journey of growing up with unresolved childhood trauma and suffering that eventually affects how she navigates additional traumatic events throughout her adult life. I listened to the audible version of this book. The narrator was fantastic and the story line was very engaging! There were times in the story where I had to stop and say, “Really! Wow! I know that’s real because you can’t make that stuff up.".
Even if your childhood was not "Trauma-Kazi" level traumatic, this audiobook is a great listen. There are take aways and insights that can be shared and/or useful in anybody's life journey. This is a true story with a “realistic” happy ending filled with hope, healing, and the possiblity of recovery for anybody willing to “OWN THEIR STUFF”! This story truly rates 5 stars. So, buy a copy and share a copy with a friend. Warning: Be aware that there is some strong language usage at times.

Easy listen. A Clean Cozy with no profanity.
Revisado: 01-13-23
The narrator does a great job overall BUT the main character (who is 20ish) sounds like an older women. This is odd because the narrator does a perfect younger voice for the 20ish year old cousin in the story. If you can get passed the older voice for a younger character issue, the story great.
The characters are well developed and the story is enjoyable. I love the way story is centered around the library. I purchased Books 1-3 as a bundle and could not stop listening. I like it so much I purchased the next bundle 4-6 as soon as it said, "Thanks for listening".

Story never developed into a plot with substance
Revisado: 02-26-22
I tried. I listened to the entire story. Please do not waste your time. The characters and the plot never developed beyond being a concept. This book was not ready to be published. Nothing in this book was believable. The romance connections were lame. The police involvement was totally unrealistic. The main character dragged out too many small details that added nothing. The motive was very very undeveloped.
Sometimes when an audiobook has a weak storyline a good Narrator can help. The Narrator was "great" but she did not have anything to work with. I am so glad this audiobook was free! If not, I would have asked for a refund.

Reader be warned: Great Story line but not a Cozy
Revisado: 11-22-21
LISTENER BEWARE: This was listed as a Cozy Mystery Series but it is not.
- Definition of a Cozy Mystery: a sub-genre of crime fiction in which sex and violence occur off stage and the language is clean.
PROS: I loved the two readers and their performances. The story line is unique and entertaining. I liked the old school speak easy ghost detective and his interactions with the modern day book store owner. I was hooked after listening to the first book.
CONS. By the time I got to Book 2 the Author starting using the the F--K BOMB and various other colorful metaphors. The details describing the murders and the violence became increasingly more graphic. This detracted from the entertainment value for me, The author did not have any of these literary elements in Book 1. When you read the first book in a series it usually sets the tone for all the other Books in the series. The genre changes from a Cozy mystery to non-cozy mystery.
CONCLUSION: I am giving Book 1 a good review because the story was enjoyable. The 2nd Book is "NOT" a cozy mystery but the story line is still good. However, I will not be listening to the rest of the series because I cannot handle graphic violence and hard profanity. AUDIBLE PLEASE ENSURE THAT BOOKS ARE CLASSIFIED CORRECTLY. Thanks

Well written, light and entertaining
Revisado: 01-07-21
This book is everything you would expect from a Cozy mystery. The plot is very developed and this book has an ending that doesn’t leave you hanging. Furthermore, the characters and created world has a great foundation to build on which makes you want to read the next installment. I also love the reader. She brings the story to life. Simply addicting.

This is Great Family Book for Ages 12 and over.
Revisado: 11-14-17
This book was very well done. However, I would not recommend this book for ages under twelve years old. I enjoyed the full-cast reading. It was as entertaining as going to the movies. Even though the setting takes place in a grave, the story line was not gruesome or scary which is very refreshing! The main character of the story, a young boy named "Nobody", steals your heart and makes you root for him the entire story. The plot and characters were well developed and the book had a great ending.

Nice and clean cut
Revisado: 04-18-16
I absolutely love the voice of the reader. She does a great job interpreting the emotions and the personalities of the characters. The overall story had some great unexpected twists. However, the ending was a little flat. If you want a clean story with early American culture and charm, this is the book for you!
